We went to Chartres as it was on our way to Paris and we wanted to have some proper rest before going back to the capital. Booked ourselves a room at Residhome and it was a great decision. The property is located in a nice area, within walking distance to the center with all the shops, restaurants, etc... There is a nice bakery right next to the hotel so you can enjoy some nice breakfast (or get one from the hotel itself). The staff at the hotel was super nice, helped us with a parking spot (it is 8EUR per night) and were also nice to let us keep the car at the parking few more hours after checkout while we were walking in the city before leaving. We had a nice and quiet room, very clean and comfortable. A huge window gave a nice city view, bed was big and comfy as well and had lights and plus attached to it - perfect to charge your gadgets during night. Bathroom with shower contained all necessary amenities and small kitchenette was equipped with a stove, had plates, cutleries and a kettle. There are also coffee machines and vending machine at the lobby where they sell some goodies one might need.

Truth be told, nothing to complain about as our stay was really nice and we didn't notice any particular drawbacks.

This has been my 3rd stay in 3 years. The first one with other guests. As usual, the hotel was great. Very polite and helpful staff. Clean and very well quipped rooms. Great view from the windows as well. If I am ever again in the region and need a place to stay. I will pick this one in a heartbeat.

The hotel is fantastic. Everything is nice and clean, and my review is a 10/10. Since I'm required to say something I didn't like, I will nitpick and say that for some reasons there were two construction barriers blocking the way to the front door, and a small detour was needed if you couldn't move the barriers. But this is just a very minor inconvenience in an excellent hotel.

A very good location, only a 10 minute walk from the Cathedral and town centre. It was also great to have the secure car park in the ground floor of the building. We had a room with a balcony, which was excellent, particularly as we stayed three nights. It was useful too to have the facility of using the laundry room - well kept and with clean Miele machines. Having the kitchenette was helpful too...

We arrived in Friday rush hour traffic, which affected us finding the location. At any other time of day there would have been no problem. Otherwise, there was nothing not to like.

All very nice The reception staff were excellent and helpful and very friendly.

The confusion at breakfast with having our dog, being expected to sit outside in the cold, having to knock on the door to go back in to get food/drink - as our card wouldn’t open the door and we left the door very slightly wedged open and that appeared to cause a problem. we feel there should have been a option of sitting inside but separate to other customers to eat if there was a problem. We are very nice people and felt the way we were treated was wrong. we have requested a refund for the breakfast- awaiting to hear back from hotel . Apart from the breakfast a very enjoyable stay.

The staff particularly faith who checked us in. It was very busy she remained friendly professional and polite. I was really impressed with her if I could I'd hire her! The staff at breakfast were lovely too, in fact all members of staff said hello and were very helpful and polite. The quality of items at breakfast was good, my teenage son wanted more junk but we appreciated the quality.

We had a smelly room maybe a problem with the drains? Otherwise it was extremely clean and well equipped. Breakfast was a bit slow but that is not a reflection on the staff as they were clearly working hard to refresh everything, keep everything clean and with really lovely manners and vibes.

Very modern property that is an easy 15min walk to the centre of Chartres. Paid underground parking but this was very secure. Check in was easy and the room was nice. The kitchen was fairly well equipped and included dishwashing liquid etc as well. The bed was comfortable and the room space is large which is great with luggage. WiFi worked well. The area was very quiet.

We didn’t seem to be able to control the air conditioning at all and it was a little on the warmer side. Do just double check your swipe card will let you back into the car parking. We went out during reception hours so it wasn’t an issue but our card wasn’t working for the carpark but was working for everything else.

Nice fairly new hotel a 10-minute walk from Chartres town centre. I would have given it a 8,5 out of 10 if I could have. Appartments are large and well equipped. The breakfast is OK too (fair variety of salty and sweet dishes; one milk alternative (almond); nice scrambled eggs, which unfortunately were not available every morning). Little gym with two treadmills, a substandard rowing machine, some free weights, and an unfunctional multifunctional weight machine. It might have been worth investing a bit more in this equipment. Less could be more in this case. Nice commonal areas, including a terrace. Friendly receptionists and cleaners. Good garage with bike rack/stand.

Third stay here, to break up the journey from Limoges back to the UK. Chartres is a lovely town with a magnificent cathedral, riverside walks and some great restaurants. It's an easy town to get into and out of by car. The centre of the town is only 10 minutes walk from the Residhome Chartres. We booked a cheaper room (without a balcony outside) which was great value even considering the €9 for our dog, €9 for the very safe and convenient parking under the hotel and the tourist tax. Room was comfortable, clean and had a small kitchenette if you wish to self cater -we ate at one of the restaurants in town. Staff were friendly and spoke English.

Very little at the price, and given the good quality. There was only green tea in the room as an option for a self-made hot drink. We didn't have the breakfast buffet which seemed a little pricey per person.

There is nothing not to like!

Great room. Large with nice furnishings. Actually the whole hotel is fairly recent. Great location!

Missing some basic kitchen utensils. Also shower is one where you simply pull a curtain in the bathroom to take the shower. End result is that a large portion of the floor is wet. Finally they have a nice parking however it is limited so make sure you reserve your parking, if you need it, at the time of reservation and then check a few weeks before that they did actually reserve a parking spot for every night you are staying. Parking in Chartres looks pretty challenging otherwise.
