I have stayed at many Premiere Classe hotels over the years, because they are generally both cheap, predictable, good value for money and ideal for a one-night stop-over. This one as in a different league – apart from the price, which remained excellent value. The manager explained that they had only recently joined the Premiere Classe franchise, having been in business for some 10 years. Hope they succeed in maintaining the high standard...and the low price.

Not the easiest place to find, especially at night and especially as, being new to the Premiere Classe franchise, they are not on an old SatNav.

Plenty of free parking, car park adequately illuminated. 3 x EV chargers being installed, not commisiooned for use during our stay (12 Feb 2025) but many other chargers nearby on the retail park. Room - Basic but adequate for one night 1st room given had an unpleasant smell of stale cigarettes, despite it beong non-smoking. Reception did reallocate another room without fuss or drama. 2nd allocated room was fine, it was clean & tidy.

Compact room, inadequate with a dog taking up floor space. No tea/coffee making facilities, luckily we brought our own kettle. Only 2 x paper cups provided in the room, so we borrowed cups from the dining area. Pillows too thin & hard. Bed very firm, woke with aching hips and back. Extraneous room illumination during darkness from the illuminated bathroom light switch and switches underside of the bedside lights that shone in my face disturbing my sleep. No english TV channels No ventilation in bathroom, so misted mirror subsequent to showering, irritating my wife trying to do make-up, toilet smells creep into the bedroom.

The property is a no nonsense hotel. It’s a budget hotel and that’s exactly what we got, although not in a bad way! It was cheaply priced but clean, relatively spacious and comfortable- I think we got what we paid for! There was no coffee/ tea making facilities in the room but I expected that after reading reviews. Although not tested, you can apparently ask for a kettle from reception. Staff on reception were friendly and spoke good English when we checked in. There was also vending machines at reception if you wanted snacks/drinks. The location was great in terms of amenities. There is a huge E.Leclerc just down the road and loads of restaurants and boulangeries nearby. You can pick up leaflets at reception for discounts at a few of these restaurants. The area although quite built up/ industrialised felt safe.

The pillows were very small! I’m sure we could have requested extra but put up with it as we were too tired to ask (plus I had a pillow I bought with me for travelling!)

This is a decent hotel. It's half way to our home in France after travelling from the UK. It's dog friendly. Communication is good. Beds are fine. Everything is clean and tidy. Internet works fine.

No margarine or butter available at breakfast. I wasn't happy that staff went home at 9pm and didn't return till the morning. A lack of security I feel. The formula 1 chain of hotels do this and I'll never use them again. (bad security) illegal immigrants swarming in and around the hotel we stayed in... Never again. Nothing like that at Première Classe Chartres Sud - Barjouville. It's a concern, that's all.

We didn't have breakfast as we had a long The shower was excellent. The extra towels were in the wardrobe, which we didn't see until we asked and had another from reception. If we were staying in the area we would be very pleased with the situation of the hotel.

There were no tea or coffee facilities in the room and from what we could see, no coffee to be had in reception. This was more of an inconvenience than a problem.

The hotel was very clean and offered a good degree of comfort for the price. Very convenient location on the Chartres ring road for travelling down from the UK to the Dordogne. Plenty of free parking in a safe area and with useful facilities within walking distance (large supermarket with relatively cheap petrol, MacDonalds, other places to eat). Definitely recommended as a good budget option.

The staff might have been a bit more welcoming but no problem!

This hotel was the ideal choice for a stopover on the way to Spain. There’s a fabulous bakery across the car park, several restaurants and a large supermarket all within easy walking distance. The hotel was nice and clean and I’d recommend it.

We were travelling with our dogs and one of the fence panels near a busy road was missing but apart from that I couldn’t fault it.

Everything about this hotel is brilliant, and it is the best value place we stayed in on our trip. As well as all the basics being in place, it is well run despite being very busy. The vibe is bustling but chilled, quiet but in walking distance of eateries and the main road out. Perfect.

Nothing to dislike.

Nice staff, Location was a bonus. Across the street was a massive shopping complex/supermarket. this was good for picking up some shopping and food, they also have a few places to eat inside. There are also some restaurants near the hotel and a bakery for croissants etc in the morning if you do not want a hotel breakfast.

We have stayed here many times to break our journey to SW france and return. Perfect location as it is on our route. Rooms are basic but very comfortable and clean. Choice of restaurants within walking distance. Continenetal breakfast is good and as one would expect. Will be returning.
