A lovely lady called Patricia greeted us at the reception. She was very friendly and helpful. The next morning, I booked this hotel for our return journey but made a mistake. She kindly amended my booking. The hotel is next to a Chinese restaurant / takeaway and within a 5 minute walk to a KFC and a McDonald. It would be nice to have a kettle in the room though and glasses rather than cardboard cups. When we got to our room, there were 3 sets of towels, which is thoughtful as we found that the vast majority of hotels, even the 4-5 stars ones round the world only provide a set of 2 and you have to ask for a third set. The triple room we had comprised 1 double bed and one single and quite spacious for a budget hotel. The area is very quiet, we got a good night sleep,

Friendly personnel, clean and comfortable room. Very decent breakfast, more than what I expected. It included: Various pastries-croissant, pain au chocolates and bread-corn, whole grain and white toast. Yogurt-plain and strawberry flavour, milk for the cereal but also oat milk, mini pancakes, honey, 3 kinds of jam. Fresh eggs which everyone could decide how boiled they should be ( self service with timer and easy to place in the hot water). Cold cuts -ham, chicken ham and cheese. Fruit juices- apple and orange. Cold mineral water. There were also fresh fruit-apples, oranges, pears, mandarines. Coffee was very good- also wide variety of coffee and tea. Everything is self service. The area of the breakfast is clean and tidy.

It is a typical Ace hotel. [We use this chain of hotels regularly.] They are clean and comfortable - with a decent size shower room, and a larger than normal bed - and are reasonably priced. The reception desk is staffed for a full 24 hours, so there is no worry if you are running late. Like all Ace hotels, this one is dog-friendly. Ace is a consistently much better chain than other budget hotel chains in France. Breakfast isn’t superb, but is reasonably priced. The Asian restaurant next door is very good value.

The location is a bit underwhelming - but convenient.

We have stayed here a number of times and it makes an excellent locational 'pit stop' for our onward journey to Catalunya. The staff have always been polite and helpful - Adele was very helpful on this occasion, but she wouldn't sing for us. Good breakfast for the price.

The room window sound proofing could be better. A dog in one of the adjacent commercial compounds barked all night and we did not get the restful sleep we had previously enjoyed.

Rooms were generous in size and spotless.. sheets were spotless, bathrooms, wardobes e.t.c. A good fragrance in the space and not overpowering or musking/masking. Receptionist was very attentive and spoke 3 languages. She was able to accommodate our request for a loan of a UK/EU charger too. A lift was available too.. again everything spotless.. all the buttons and mirrors e.t.c.

Breakfast selection seemed limited compared to the IBIS Styles.. No freshly pressed Orange juice or choice on cold meats.. No tomatoes at breakfast e.t.c. Breakfast was ok but just felt a bit basic for EUR 8.70 a head.

The hotel is perfect for a 1 night stopover. The staff were very polite and the room was very clean and comfortable. There is ample parking as you'd expect. One thing that I thought that was worth mentioning for those travelling with bikes on their car, I asked if there was anywhere I could lock my bike up for the night (rather than leave it of the roof of the car), and the receptionist was more than happy than the bike could be taken up to our room. The lift is more than big enough to wheel a bike into it. Also, there's a bus stop close to the hotel, so it's easy get into the city centre without needing to drive (again, the receptionist helped in this respect). Didn't have breakfast at the hotel so can't comment.

This Ace hotel is very conveniently situated close to the ring road around Chartres. There are several eating options nearby. The rooms are spacious, clean and have very comfortable beds and an excellent shower. Everything necessary for a good overnight stop. The staff always speak some English and are very pleasant and helpful.

An electric kettle in the room would be good so it was possible to make a cup of tea/coffee. Also, one or two English TV channels would be good - there are several foreign language channels, but nothing in English.

We have used the Ace Hotel Chartres before, useful overnight stop when traveling to and from the UK. Good location for quick access to the roads we need and a secure gated car park. Room is fine, bedding very clean and comfortable, breakfast very similar to other hotels of this category. We always enjoy their good coffee.

I do get annoyed by people who do not abide by the no smoking rule! On first entering the room there was a faint lingering smell of cold cigarette. I have an acute sense of smell and this could not be mistaken for stale air freshener or anything else. I could have asked for a change of room (which might not have been better) but we had been delayed by ferry and travel disruptions and were late for our restaurant table in the centre of Chartres. On a cool night leaving the window open whilst out helped but it should not come to this.

Nice clean room with good beds, good breakfast, and easy to find. Ideal for a stop off while traveling. There are some fast food/all-you-can-eat restaurants in the vicinity.

It is not close to the city centre, which we knew when booking, so it means a car trip if you want something nicer than the limited restaurant options in the vicinity. Convenient hotel, but rather anonymous.

Basic but comfortable and clean room that was perfect for a one night stopover on our trip. Bed was very comfortable, shower was good, and despite being close to the roadway the room was quiet with light blocking shades that allowed for a solid night’s sleep. Wi-Fi worked well.

No coffee or tea in the room but I was able to grab some downstairs in the breakfast room (no charge). Shower only had a shampoo/body wash combo gel and no conditioner so bring you own toiletries.
