The best evening meal in ages - the chef is exceptional

Booking.com booking 2 rooms for us for the same night- NOT what we requested- and the difficulty in contacting them to effect the cancellation of one of them - being sent onto a site that charged 30€ + for an unsolicited service to help fill in a non existent form - whole thing involved my bank stopping this payment and cancelling my card - this fiasco caused me a great deal of stress, and spoiled my visit- this was not the fault of the hotel, but I shall be v wary of using Booking.Com in the future

We had a nice room, there is secure parking at the rear, the restaurant was excellent with friendly attentive service. The location, west of Chartres, is a little off the beaten track but was good for our onward travel to channel ports to next day. The small town has an Intermarche supermarket with self-service petrol station.

Would prefer proper cups in the room. They only provide two small cardboard cups for tea/coffee, which we used for a herbal tea at bedtime. Being English, we take milk and tea bags for a morning drink and China cups could have been reused.

We didn't have breakfast, we had booked a table for dinner in the restaurant. It was disappointing as the Manager said it was closed but he would cook something for us. The food was Ok, he produced a set menu but not what we would have chosen and we felt it was overpriced.

The toilet seat in our room was broken and this was not found out until we used it. As it was late we were unable to report it as there appear4ed to be only one person in attendance to the hotel and he was serving customers in the Restaurant which was supposed to be closed. We need to leave the hotel at 6.30 am and we were not told how to operate the secure parking gate. We eventually found a switch but it would have been helpful if we had been told how to do this advance.

Great room, stylishly furnished and thoughtfully equipped. Friendly and helpful staff.

Very small point, the restaurant was closed on Monday evening which was disappointing as the menu looked great. However, the hotel provided an excellent evening meal for hotel residents which was very welcome.

Nice boutique Hotel in town centre, recently refurbished, safe parking to rear. Nice room and good breakfast. Nice meal in restaurant, lovely food and helpful waiter. Would stay again as easy drive to Calais and beyond.

The check out was a problem as we had paid for the room via booking.com and they charged us again. They had difficulty accessing their account system to check that we had paid as no one knew the password! We thought the breakfast a little overpriced at 13 Euros pp

We thought we had arrived when reception was open- but it was shut. Not a huge problem but a bit annoying. Choice for dinner was limited ( to one) but it was good quality and well cooked. We were pleased to be able to have that Ona Monday night.

We stopped here for the night while travelling to Caen. Hotel situated on high street of a small town, access to parking through lane at rear (you have to ask for directions). Room modern and air-conditioned with electric shutters. Very comfortable bed. Excellent meal in restaurant with some memorable dishes. Breakfast good and glad to see that coffee was freshly prepared and brought to your table, rather than the usual and awful self-service coffee machine. Staff very friendly and helpful. Quiet despite being on the road.

Nothing really - location might not be to everyone's liking.

well located, well decorated and furnished, bright and good size rooms, private parking with door, security feeling (all doors requiring a card/pass). Restaurant is not really cheap but worth it because of the food quality and service. People is there to provide a very good stay wherever in the hotel or restaurant. highly recommend!

Comfortable and in centre of town. Food good but I thought a bit expensive. However, I have not eaten out much in France so I am not sure about pricing. Certainly more expensive than UK.

Breakfast was a bit limited as it was all cold. No hot food option.

The room was comfortable and clean with all facilities. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. Staff friendly and very helpful. Will definitely stay again.

My only complaint is the toilet seat moved when you sat on it. Minor minor thing 😂
