Delightfully peaceful and welcoming family hotel with onsite private parking. The communal areas inside have a stylish yet comfortable/cosy ambience and there is also a spacious covered seating exterior area at the front. This was our third visit in as many years. The friendly owner recognised me and immediately spoke in English. Ideal location as within minutes walking distance of many shops, restaurants and the beach.

One small thing, the pillows were a bit too thick and firm for us. A spare second thinner pillow per person would be ideal.

The locality of this hotel was perfect, it was adjacent to the station, not that there was any train noise to notice. It was a main transport link between La Rochelle and Bordeaux. Also, a bus route was also available. The beach was a 5 minute gentle stroll through a beautiful parc which led straight onto the esplanade which has a good variety of bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours and creperies.

Here was nothing to dislike.

Lovely boutique hotel with Victorian and modern decor, nice sized rooms and fantastic shower. Salima was very friendly, welcoming and helpful during our stay. Good buffet breakfast with decent coffee and tea boite plus a range of cold meats cheeses, hard boiled egg, yogurts breads, cereals and fruit etc. Free parking on street and very easy access. Lots of restaurants within walking distance at sea front, through a beautiful park.

We really enjoyed our stay here - we had tried to find a hotel in nearby La Rochelle, but settled on this one as there were none available. And next time, we will stay here instead of looking at La Rochelle. Chatelaillon-Plage is a lovely little resort, and the hotel is very close to the centre but still very quiet, with free car parking. The staff on reception were delightful, we felt really welcome. Rooms are simple, but really clean and with excellent air conditioning. There’s a little bar on site, but no restaurant. The young lady on reception recommended several places to eat, and the one we chose was great!

This hotel was 1st class. Ively building with history, Hosts were very welcoming. Location is absolutely perfect, 150 metres from the beach. Train station nearby but no noise problems at all. Hotel was spotlessly clean, well run, organised and lovely. The breakfast was 1st class with excellent choices. We only stayed 1 night but would go back and stay longer . Absolutely recommended.

Fabulous quiet, bespoke hotel close to the train station and easy walk to the beach. The owners have gone to great lengths to fill this beautiful building with charming art & furniture. Staff were friendly, attentive & quick to help us with recommendations & things to see.

The mattress on the bed in our room needs replacing. While the carpet looks beautiful in the bedroom, it is hard to keep clean.

Friendly staff, lovely room short walk to the beach ideally located, close to places to eat will definitely stay there again if in the area Breakfast was good value, and coffee delicious. Able to park for free near the hotel

Beautiful location and a lovely hotel. Staff were welcoming and friendly with top tips for local dining options. Next to the train station for easy access to other coastal locations including La Rochelle.

All great and nothing not to like.

Reception on arrival was very welcoming. Description of the hotel was precise and our cosy room was lovely. Breakfast was excellent and we particularly liked the greeting from the owners and staff in explaining where everything was. We only stayed one night and would certainly look to booking again if we visit this area.

Beautiful room, nice shower, very good breakfast with fresh bread & local products and nice staf and evendo we were late the owner came to open and we received a warm welcome anyway & in english!!!👌 So thank you for a very nice stay!!
