I enjoyed my stay so much I'm already planning on going back to La Rochelle just to stay there again. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was incredible and my room was perfect : clean, quiet and with great aircon. I was on a work trip and it was also great to be able to use their co-working space. The location was so central I never had to walk more than 15 minutes to where I wanted to be. I would point out that the port-facing rooms look out over some busy restaurants. I'm a very light sleeper and asked whether the room was quiet when I arrived. The staff said they'd put me in a port-facing room as I was staying for a long time and so that I could wake up and see the iconic towers (very thoughtful!). They had no problem in moving me to a courtyard facing room which was perfect for me.

Well appointed hotel with my room overlooking the harbour and towers. Large lounge area in foyer and friendly staff. I liked the decor and the tantalising roof decoration in my room with realistic looking bird feathers. The windows are lovely flung open and yet when closed effectively block the noises in the area below, especially early morning with the arrival of trucks for the restaurants. Good air conditioning.

The bathroom mirror is set too high to be able to use without the footstool supplied. I was interested that this had not been fixed! Otherwise lovely with a “rain” shower head alternative to the hand held ones so common.

Good location for harbour. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice breakfast and breakfast room. Hôtel clean and nice modern decor. A very short walk to car park.

Had a harbour view room, but was very noisy until late from restaurants and people, so unable to have window open and as the air conditioning did not seem to be working (early April) made in difficult to get to sleep until after midnight…… then woken at 6am by very loud noise from street cleaning machines. Next time we will not pay the extra for a harbour view room, our view was not a clear view of the harbour, just a little corner glimpse of it! In addition the room was very small, not really suitable for anything more than sleeping in!

Rooms a bit small. Some design elements in room didn’t work. Bathroom door banged on shower door. No table (fold down desk ) Only 1 chair in room. And in the hotter months summer I would opt for a hotel with a pool. Need to know about booking taxi day before. Not sure why the main entrance can’t be used. Seems odd as it’s a lovely welcoming space. A bar would be the perfect accompaniment (and maybe a pool … )

The location was great, close to all the historic sites and a short walk to the beach. Lots of restaurants within a 5 mins walk. Staff were lovely and super friendly.

The first night we struggled to sleep as the room was too hot. We tried decreasing the temperature on the control unit but it would not stay down. In the morning we realised the radiator was on and after a lot of googling we realised it was heating only (there’s no cooling). After this we kept the radiator off and opened the window at night and we were able to sleep well after this. I mention this anecdote because if we had stayed in the summer we definitely would have struggled to sleep in the heat. This was our only issue with the hotel.

Location (location, location) and the breakfast, overall a genuine sense of being welcomed at a hotel, yes, but also one intended to give a sense of being house guests.

Directions to the car parking were and could be a little off putting - but don't let this be the case. Park at the end of the Vieux Port Ouest car park nearest to the old town area, so furthest away from the car park entrance and the hotel is very close, no further away at all than in many dedicated hotel car parks. And, it is not expensive!

Location is great, very central and not to far to walk from Place Verdun which is where the bus from the airport arrives and departs. The bed was comfortable, bathroom and toilet fine and clean but we could really have done with some more light. Breakfast buffet offered a good choice - unfortunately we didn't have the time to really appreciate it.

Our room was fine except for the lighting. Really needed to be able to turn on some more light! There's no central ceiling light, low level lighting in the room supplemented by lamps either side of the bed. Really needed another lamp.

Great location close to all the action. A lovely hotel, in the heart of the La Rochelle Old Town. Staff were great and rooms were clean. We had a room which overlooked the beautiful harbour and could not hear any noise even though it was very busy at the local restaurants. The hotel also has some great communal spaces and a co-working area.

Nothing - all good. There is no parking at the hotel but there are public parking spaces very close (within a couple of minutes walk).

Breakfast was disorganised and there was a lot of waiting time for things to cook - eg they cooked a small batch of eggs which were taken by people in a couple of mins and then they cooked the bacon and then they did another batch of eggs - nothing was synchronised so you could have both at the same time . Kitchen staff cooking in an open house style Kitchen was annoying and felt strange when you were trying to help yourself to the buffet items. All in all I didn’t enjoy the breakfast experience but the food itself was nice.

Fabulous location. Nice design led hotel. Room was very big, we had a room for a family on the 1st floor with 2 large comfortable beds in, hotel main areas were really nicely decorated and presented, breakfast was very good. Liked the thoughtful eco touches. Quiet room although right in the heart of the old town/port and restaurants.

In such a big 2 bed room, a little privacy would have been good, a curtain that could be pulled across for example to screen of one sleeping area as we were facing each other - the seperate toilet and separate shower room were ok, but compared to everything else in this hotel which was so nice, felt a bit small and basic (minor thing, none of the pumps worked on the toiletries so we used our own as the ones provided were fixed and could not be opened...) Otherwise very good and would certainly stay again!
