We adored the beautiful view from the balcony. The hotel is located perfectly. Even though it is old and hasn't been renovated recently we felt comfortable and spent a very pleasant week. The staff is very kind and supportive, especially Daniel.

There are massive and very loud parties just down the hotel every night until 11 o'clock. I think that the noise cancellation of the door is far from perfect. However, somehow we managed to get asleep.

Lovely little hotel in perfect location overlooking the harbour. Great view of harbour. We paid for Superior King with sea view. Bars, restaurants and shops all on doorstep. Spotlessly clean and nice fresh towels and bed linen. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and helpful. Communication was excellent before stay too helping with parking etc. We decided to park at Vieux Port for the night and it was 15 euros from 4pm till 11am if that helps? All in all a lovely stay in a nice little hotel. Merci

Looks like they are are making some improvements slowly to the hotel so bathroom was nice and new but parts of the bedroom were a bit tired ie. Carpet and painting but given time maybe that will get done also. Photos shown on their site look better than actual room but that wouldn’t put me off staying as so clean. Bit expensive but then you are paying for the view.

Fabulous location, right in the port, the beds were comfy, linen really fresh and lovely little mini bar with water, coke, ice tea on our arrival a lovely view and the rooms super clean with wonderful staff. Some guests may find the standard rooms a little on the small side, but it was perfect for us. There is no parking at the hotel, but you can stop outside for thirty minutes to check in and take your bags to the room, then look for parking. But as you are right in the middle of the port with bars, restaurants, shops, Aquarium and museums, you don't need a car everything is within walking distance. Had a great stay and have already booked again.

The hotel was in the centre of the old port, which was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable, albeit compact. Bed, with the choice of pillows, was comfortable. Nepresso machine and 3 drinks included, which was a nice touch. The bathroom, was in a very narrow space, but a nice shower. We had a room with a balcony, a nice view, and if the weather had been good enough room to enjoy a drink and people watch. We used the nearby underground parking, 5 minutes walk away, which was very reasonable.

No dislikes with the hotel.

the property is centrally located with walking access to shops, restaurants, and the central old port. The staff was very helpful, very polite and efficient. The room we were originally assigned through Booking.com was very small and could not accommodate our luggage. We were offered an upgrade to a larger room for an additional "discounted" rate of 30 euros. It was very comfortable. We added the breakfast at 15 euros/person that was not included in the room rate. The breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of food and drinks.

Being in Centre Ville, it is not easy to find a parking space. No parking at the hotel itself but there is a space in front with time to unload the luggage. There are public parkings, for a fee, not too far from the hotel. The breakfast room is very small and was full when we came from our room. A table opened up within 10 minutes. The friendly staff had offered to bring our choices of breakfast food to our room. We ended up not needing that service but appreciated the offer.

Our room overlooked the harbour, so a beautiful view. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. The Town was very busy, that we did not expect late August. For older couples, I suggest mid September may be a better time to go. That said, we did have the most stupendous meal at a little restaurant off the beaten track, where less foot traffic was experienced. I suggest do a lot of research beforehand.

The noise from the nightlife did disturb us. If you are young, hip and happening, this is the place to be. If you are older, I would suggest a hotel not so close to the harbour.

The location of the hotel is brilliant. It was within walking distance of everything from boat trips to restaurants to the train station and aquarium. It was a perfect location for shopping on the high street to grabbing a fabulous jambon complet in a boulangerie.

We had a balcony room (Number 36) for 3 nights but had to move on our last night to a seaview room on the first floor. There wasn't any way the windows could block out the noise from the street. If you're booking this hotel make sure you book a balcony room.

The staff were amazing ... so friendly helpful and very knowledgeable. They were all first class. In fact we have stayed in many hotels around the world and these staff are the best ! We had a fire alarm go off at 5am and everything was dealt with professionally and quickly. There was always a good selection of breakfast items and the rooms were extremely clean.

Only small downside was the bathroom lay out...as it was very narrow passed shower and no hooks for towels or dressing gown. This is a very small issue though.

The hotel is situated at the heart of La Rochelle's historic harbour and the views from the balcony of our 4th floor room were wonderful. The room was pleasant, spacious, clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was a little basic for the price and the breakfast room was very cramped, although there isn't much that the hotel could have done about that.

Beds were very comfortable and in the perfect location! More importantly the staff were phenomenal, they went above and before for our anniversary and birthday and was really pleasant, polite and helpful the whole time! I would 100% recommend staying here if for nothing else the amazing staff! They all deserve a pay rise!!!!
