Excellent position very close to the marina, market and shops. Ideal for those with walking difficulties. The hotel offers a comfortable lounge area together with seating in the shade outside the entrance area. We had a small room described as 'cozy', but it was beautifully furbished, with coffee/tea facilities.

There is a locked parking area with the hotel, but this comes with additional charges. Approx £12 per night. Breakfast also attracts additional charges.. My one night for two, in 'cozy' room with overnight parking and breakfast for two, added up to £196.

The hotel is centrally located to the harbour and all the sights of La Rochelle. This is our second stay and it really excelled. Reception staff have understated excellence. We liked the slightly larger room in the opposite building. There was a water machine with both sparkling and still water on the ground floor which was fantastic. The coffee in the room was excellent. There is a bag storage on check out. We liked the green credentials and the wooden room/door cards and the welcome drink. We would highly recommend the hotel and it will always be our first choice when visiting again.

Lovely boutique hotel, very comfortable bed and very quiet room, could not hear any noise from other guests or outside when windows closed. Shower and bathroom excellent and very clean. Great to have secure off street parking, and a disabled parking bay. Staff were really good and always on hand.

Air conditioning was set at 22, when we explained that we wanted to turn it down we were told that unfortunately it is set at 22 for environmental reasons, but a quiet fan was supplied which helped a lot. When we checked out we were asked if everything met our expectations, so we explained about the air con, we were told that there must have been a fault because it could have been reduced to 19 degrees, and they will rectify the fault. Would have given 10 out of 10 if not for the air con. Booked the disabled parking bay, but someone else had parked in it on the first day. Would still recommend and stay again!

From the moment we arrived; the Reception staff greeted us warmly and were always most helpful to answer our questions on how to get the best of our visit to La Rochelle. The Cosy room were exactly that and had everything you could possibly want in its compact space and was perfectly clean and very comfy bed!! Excellent selection for breakfast. Loved the glass covered lounge area too, to enjoy the warm sunlight and shelter from the elements when it was briefly needed. Central to everything!! 20 mins taxi from airport. A short bus ride to the gorgeous Ile de Re and on the doorstep of La Rochelle's own restaurants and its peaceful harbour. Cannot recommend it highly enough!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was perfectly clean, cozy, and welcoming from the very first moment. The atmosphere is charming and relaxing, with great attention to detail that made us feel at home. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help with anything we needed. The location is ideal — close to the main sights, restaurants, and shops, yet quiet enough to relax peacefully. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and would be happy to come back again.

Excellent location - very central. Friendly, helpful staff, clean room with good amenities. It had everything we needed. We would definitely come and stay here again. Secure parking was available which was convenient, although 15€ per night. La Rochelle is beautiful and this hotel was perfect for our stay.

It's not that I didn't like something, I just have a couple of comments. The buffet breakfast seemed a little expensive (especially if you don't eat a lot for breakfast). Although great that there was a couple of GF options, the GF bread was very small. The hot chocolate I had in the evening was disappointing- sadly the mug was only half full, which was disappointing for 5 euros.

Beautiful property in the heart of the old town. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was small but very comfortable. Loved the room’s modern interior and features such as the sculpted heated towel rail! I also appreciated having tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a water fountain with filtered water just down the corridor. Our room faced the street but was extremely quiet. Lovely public areas and a delightful square outside. I would definitely stay here again and couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Beautifully renovated hotel in the heart of the historic port district. Comfortable bed and quiet location. Nice touches with tea and coffee in the room. Standard room is small but fine for two people and has excellent storage touches like extra hooks and a towel ‘tree’ rack. Excellent breakfast in a beautiful light-filling dining room. We would stay here again!

Halls are very dark, almost too dark to see room numbers. Not sure why they design showers without closures as the water tends to splash out no matter how careful you are with the shower head.

Fantastic location ,close to everything but peaceful.Well equipped rooms with nice bathroom and very comfortable bed with sheets changed daily, and a decent hairdryer in room.Friendly and helpful staff

The first evening on my own ,I decided to eat in the hotel. I chose from the formula soup and fish., which was served in a glass jar.The latter was a mush,really overcooked and tiny pieces of fish among the vegetables. I just couldn't eat it and explained to a member of staff and asked if I could have some cheese instead. A big platter of cheese was then far too much for one person so I left a lot of it. At the end of my stay I paid the bill and was subsequently given an itemised one. I then saw that I had been charged for the uneaten main course that I had complained about, which I do not think I should have been. Sorry I felt I had to mention this because otherwise I loved the hotel and would definitely stay there again

Great location in the heart of the old city, parking on site or in a public car park 10 minutes walk away. The street has very little traffic the area is very pretty. The hotel breakfast room is attractive with plenty of light. The breakfast buffet had a very large range on offer, and of very good quality.. The bedroom was very modern, spotless, well appointed.

The 'cosy' double room was spacious enough, but I was not keen on the lack of privacy as only the toilet has has a separate door, the resi of the bathroom is only screened from the bedroom, which did not feel quite private enough. Other rooms may be different.
