The breakfast was very good value. Plenty of selection of breads, pastry etc. Fresh fruit and a good selection of youghat and cheese and meat. Juice was also available- not fresh but nice and a great coffee machine and selection of teas.

For the price it was very good value. The rooms were spotless as were the beds and bathroom. We were given a room with a balcony despite having not been initially allocated one. We really appreciate this. The staff were always helpful and very pleasant even though our French was beyond poor and their English was a lot better! I always judge a hotel by cleanliness and this hotel ticked all my boxes. The decor is a little dated but as we were there to explore the area it was not in anyway an issue! If you arrive by bus and land at the railway station it is a 5 minute walk. If you arrive at the bus station by the church you have a bit of a trek down to the port and the hotel is nearest the Marina which is approximately 30 minutes walk from bus.

Helpful and friendly staff. The room was very quiet and the hotel was close to the centre. Lovely spacious breakfast room with view of the Loire and with good continental breakfast available. I liked the modern facilities, yet these were sympathetic to the buildings period. Private secure gated parking at rear of hotel for a small charge was perfect and convenient for my motor cycle.

+ All receptionists were really kind and polite. + They allowed us leaving our bags at the reception after the check-out and pick them up later. Thank you! + The room was clean and comfortable, with a very large window. + The location is close to the railway station, but also close to the centre. Very good!

- The shower was a bit tiny. - The hotel may look older from the outside, but we were really happy here.

Very nice balcony with a view of the station clock tower. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Great location near bars, restaurants, aquarium and train station. Parking available on site (payable and recommend booking in advance). Small bar in hotel - good for 2 star.

Minor thing - no red wine in the bar. Bedside light came on when hit by pillow due to light switches being on thd headboard!

Absolutely brilliant location - 1 min walk to train station. And 5 min walk to the main street area pubs etc We were over for the La Rochelle Munster rugby match and this hotel was ideal for us Staff were brilliant and the breakfast was yummy

Best location and the correct breakfast.

When we first get into the room at the end of the corridor. The room had a bad smell, similar to smelly shoes, and we had to use our own perfume to make the room smell fresher. There was hair on the toilet seat in the toilet and a lot of dust on the spare pillow in the wardrobe.

Hotel is very clean and nice, I really appreciate I stayed for 9 days for my conference.. The staffs are friendly, great the speak English. One thing is breakfast doesn't have lot of protein rich food. Otherwise everything is awesome

Breakfast

The hotel was extremely well situated close to the station, not far from port and an excellent restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful given that I was travelling with a disabled friend. The service was 24 hours so there was always someone there to ask. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were reasonably priced. I would go there again.

My friend who is disabled had problems with the front steps up to the hotel entrance.

Price, location, staff.

Hotel was a bit 'tired' but clearly being renovated (no noise or disruption I must add). Having to pay for parking the motorcycle's in a space when they could be put to a side out of the way.

Location good if arriving on a train. The town is so close. Beds good. Breakfast good. Room was quiet.

Shower very small. Needs towel rail. Need a ramp to get to hotel as carrying bags up the steps would be difficult for some. It could be built easily.
