Room was lovely. Clean, tidy and quiet because of the 2 double-glazed windows. View of port was slightly obscured by the trees but it was still lovely to look and watch the world go by below. There is no lift so if stairs are a problem then this is not somewhere you could stay as the reception is 1st floor, rooms are on 1st - 4th floors. Breakfast is a bargain at 6,50€ and for the same offerings it is at least 8€ at nearby cafes and boulangeries. Great stay. Would definitely book here again!

What a lovely friendly welcome. Fantastic location right in the heart of everything. We stayed in room 1 which was a little smaller than expected with an additional single bed pushed up to the wall. Bed was lovely and comfortable and immaculate. 1 extra pillow was stored in the wardrobe which we did use. The air con was not yet switched on according to the owner and the room was really hot in the night and we could not open the window due to the noise from outside as all restaurants, bars etc clear all tables, chairs and menu boards every night after closing... Then you can hear everyone coming back after a good night out then the refuse & road sweepers begin about 5am.. However when windows are closed you can hear nothing. A fan would have been great but there was only 1 socket in the whole room and 1 in the bathroom so nowhere to plug 1 in. All in all a nice stay with a very clean room.

Location was superb, literally step out the door and you are in the heart of La Rochelle Room was spacious and comfortable Bathroom was clean and had everything needed Receptionist was very helpful

The only downside was being on the third floor but we received a message prior to travel informing us there was no lift and there were no ground floor rooms so that was actually ok (just remember to take everything you need so you don’t have to nip back and up 3 flights)

From the moment I stepped inside the door, the staff were very accommodating. The location is central to every requirement.... Train station, bus station etc. great value for money with a good choice of restaurants surrounding this hotel.

Excellent location literally looking into the port in the restaurant area but the room was so quiet you could not hear anything. The receptionist was delightful and the room clean and tidy. Simple but smart place to stay.

Check in went very well, location was excellent, room was of average size, bathroom with shower was very good with plenty of hot water. Although some of the bedrooms are above restaurants, I can assure you the double glazing means you hear absolutely nothing. Air conditioning was great.

Lovely small hotel in great location near the old port and restaurants. Parking short distance from hotel. Very pleasant owner who was helpful. Breakfast was traditional French style but at an exceptional price with good coffee.

Centrally-located, right next to the 'twin towers' of La Rochelle, with many cafes and restaurants on the doorstep, so an excellent base for a stay in the town. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the proprietor helpful and friendly.

La Rochelle's one-way system is very complicated so getting to the hotel by car can be a challenge; the area around the hotel is pedestrianised, so you should expect to use a car park (the nearest one is about five minutes' walk away). On the other hand, this means that the area around the hotel is very pleasant and almost traffic-free, so there's a definite up-side.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. The location was excellent, and even though it's right on the front, there was no noise through the windows

Right on the harbour in the middle of restaurants & shops, yet room was totally quiet. The staff were so friendly & helpful. Breakfast in the hotel was much cheaper than eating out
