Excellent location, facilities and friendly staff. Very pet friendly, super breakfast in well designed restaurant. Very comfortable beds, good bathroom with nice shower. Very quiet hotel so slept well.

Room was on the small side for two people who didn’t wish to share a bed. The drop down Murphy’s bed was a relief as we thought it would be a bunk over the double bed but really would have been most happy with a traditional twin room. Didn’t need the corner shelf unit and the bathroom could have been a little smaller and then more room between beds. Sorry to be so specific but we have been hotel designers for 25+ years. Brilliant hotel for the very reasonable price tho!

The staff were friendly ; welcoming and helpful. We loved the relaxed/ cool vibe - the table football ; pool table and assortment of board and card games for the little ones. Location was great - about 10 minutes on foot to the old port . Car parking was nearby - we used the public parking near the hospital which was around 2 euros overnight. The swimming pool was well look after by the hotel staff. In no way would I class this as a "budget" hotel . Fantastic!

The only grumble and it is very minor was that there was no kettle ..but so what as the restaurant was such good value

The pool was fabulous (noticed pool maintenance guy spent a long time cleaning it). Good job. The staff were lovely. Bar man and room cleaners. Good security/ lift card and pool lock. Very clean rooms. Great bed. Super bathrooms. Great Wifi. Loved the cool water dispenser on each floor

Breakfast area cluttered. Daft system to boil your own eggs! Mine kept getting pinched. No ENGLISH tea and no attempt made to provide more. No fresh salad. Tomatoes cucumber lettuce. Coffee machine kept breaking down. Need a bar to balance trays at servery. I was overcharged for tea at bar! €5! Would have like a hairdryer in room and tissues.

Staff are warm and friendly. Very relaxed atmosphere and the ground floor us a big hang-out place to chill, read, play games. Great family hotel w a lovely pool; 15 minxwalk to town or the Port.

If there are 3 of you, one of you will sleep in a pull down bed and the room is TINY. Maybe litter more clever storage somewhere in these rooms!

The staff were all friendly and helpful. Unusually for a mid price brand hotel the bar area had a bit of ambience and it was pleasurable to sit and have a drink and light meal.

I thought the room was warm and stuffy, the air con was switched off and wouldn't go lower than 19⁰. If the window was opened there was a lot of noise from the street, the railway and helipad for the air ambulance. There was no glass/cup in the room which was awkward when I needed to take some medication.

Excellent for a short break... with air conditioning in rooms so needed during the heatwave.. Water machine accessible for filling bottles. So near to the town and harbour and station.... all on the flat and in easy walking distance also to beach. Located in a beautiful harbour town. Pool was wonderful and spotlessly clean .

Nothing really all good

Breakfast was very good. Room was small but very clean and very good value if you want a single room on your own.

Some staff at the reception desk were not good to communicate at all. I felt they did not make a great effort ...we were tourists in their country after all. One more mature lady we met on day of departure was excellent. The taxi situation was a disaster and staff were not up to date at all on where the bus stop was for the airport .. very poor and would put us off of going again as we nearly missed our flight.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Easily accessed. Breakfast was lovely and great variety. Pool and surrounds were amazing. Very good facilities Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting La Rochelle

The bedroom was a bit small with basic furniture. I have a CPAP machine to sleep and could onky use a chair to put it on beside bed. Bed close to wall and made it uncomfortable for getting out as we are not as agile anymore.

Ideal location for exploring La Rochelle with easy and secure parking. We didn't have breakfast but within easy reach of a lovely patisserie where could have a croissant and coffee and pick up a sandwich for later. Staff very pleasant and accommodating. Good place for families as has a pool.

Great hotel. Lovely pool. Simple room (with comfy bed). Great shower. Perfect for a 3 day break. Short walk into La Rochelle. Friendly staff.

Would have been nice if the bar opened a little later (we were there during the euros and arrived from a late flight). A member of the housekeeping didn't knock before opening our door. Granted we didn't have the door hanger on but they should knock first!!
