Beautiful hotel with a fantastic location opposite the beach and a short walk from the centre of La Flotte. Staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in a family suite, which was large, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed including a small outdoor space. The spa (18s only) was fabulous and the heated outdoor swimming pool always had space. Really recommend this as a fantastic place for a holiday

We didn’t have breakfast there as it was quite expensive. We bought from the local shops and ate in the kitchen/living room of suite. Other guests seemed happy with the food there. Only 1 toilet in the suite (2 showers). Ideally there would have been 2

It was air conditioned, clean, beautiful big rooms

I thought the breakfast wasn’t great. The orange juice was not nice. The pancakes cold and hard. All the pastries I tried I felt weren’t particularly fresh. The breakfast room needs a revamp in my opinion, given the price of accommodation. You’re staff are all really lovely and helpful on the other hand I want to add: while I’m grateful you ordered a taxi for me- the driver charged us 85 euro to get to La Rochelle gare- no taxi meter. He refused to turn on air conditioning on hottest day of year. It was actually 40 degrees in La Rochelle. My children were about to faint. We are Irish and suffered a lot on that journey. So maybe reconsider who you recommend as a taxi driver for your guests.

Nice room, comfortable bed and pillows, lovely large balcony area, great TV. Fantastic food in the restaurant for dinner! Very pleasant staff.

Shower lacked pressure in my room and the hair dryer was pretty bad and could do with being replaced with a newer model. In low season having an a la carte breakfast option rather than paying a set €28 per person for a full buffet when we only really required some toast and maybe some scrambled egg would've been nicer, cheaper and less food waste for a quiet hotel.

It was really all great, there were just two things that let it down.

The bed, specifically the pillows were very uncomfortable leading to lost sleep on the first night. I think theyv are designed to look good on the bed, but not for sleeping! We got some slightly better ones the second night, bust still not great. The dinner we had in the restaurant was very poor - its high price (surf & turf) led us to expect something special, but it was hard to eat!!

Cost for charging electric cars. Pool Pilates session was a joke and triple what it should have cost. Sauna didn’t heat above 55°. The ‘special’ Showers malfunctioned The steam room smelled pretty bad. Bar area outside had quite a bit of bird poop on the cushions.

An excellent week at HR Marin. Suite was spacious. Very comfortable bed. Good storage. Kettle and refrigerator. Small enclosed terrace. Nice outside pool for swimming, never too crowded. Very good Sunday brunch. Staff always helpful. Well positioned for La Flotte

Parking quite expensive for residents (28€/day).

We love this hotel - the location is great (although beach not dog friendly). We had a fabulous room on the ground floor with an enclosed patio with sun loungers which was great for us as we were able to keep the dog away from the pool. The pool was directly outside our terrace gate and on every day we were able to swim peacefully and enjoy the heated pool. A short walk from La Flotte harbour which was lovely for morning coffee. There is nothing to dislike about this hotel.

Vegetarian options in the restaurant are scarce. We ate one night and were told that one of the starters could be made vegetarian and asked for the same dish on another night and were told it couldn't be made vegetarian however this issue will not affect many people so it's a small negative.

Beautiful hotel in a fabulous location in La Flotte with secure parking (but note charge). The room was lovely with a nice little private garden area. Excellent bathroom. The pool area was beautiful and quiet while we were there. Immaculately clean everywhere and very welcoming and helpful staff. Very happy to recommend!

Hotel felt very cooperate, no relaxed outside space to take in the atmosphere, and no pool (but that was our issue for not checking we didn't have access to the majestic pool)

The location is perfect - right on the beach, and a five minute walk along the seafront to the most gorgeous harbour of La Flotte where there is a good choice of bars and restaurants. Our room couldn't have been better - large, overlooking the beach, with two balconys, and decorated in the style of an old ocean liner. The pool was fabulous, the car park a real bonus, bicycles were available (and parking for guests own bikes provided), and they make a mean gin and tonic. We didn't use the spa (it was far too hot for a sauna!), but hotel guests are allowed an hour a day use of the facilities. The hotel is not cheap, but we covered most of the island by bike during our stay and didn't see anywhere that we would rather be staying.

Instead of having to pay extra for parking (28 euros a day) I'd prefer it rolled into the room rate. Also - make sure if you want to eat in the hotel restaurant you book a table in advance. We rocked up at about 8.30 one evening and they were fully booked (just as well they do good room service!).
