Superb location directly by the port with easy access to bars and restaurants, ideal for exploring the whole island. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Shower was very good. They supplied a bed for our dog. Breakfast room is very pretty with good views; it was end of Feb, so we eat inside but there is a good terrace/courtyard where you can eat at other times of year. Breakfast spread was good with fresh cooked eggs available if you wish (perhaps a little pricey at 18 euro per person, but the hotel room rate was good.

Hotel le Galion was a very comfortable small hotel with very nice amenities and services and a great staff. The reception desk clerk when we checked in a helpful with restaurant recommendations, the optional “express” breakfast each morning was perfect for our needs, though if we had wanted more they also offered a complete brunch. The english speaking breakfast hosts were very welcoming and friendly. An exceptional service offered by the hotel was express laundry. The reception staff member washed, dried, and carefully folded a bag of our laundry for only 15 euros! We took it to her before breakfast and it was ready to wear or pack again barely 2 hours later. Due to the weather we did not use the beautiful pool area, but did take advantage of reading in the evening in the comfortable lounge area off the breakfast room.

Location is perfect right by the marina. The hotel underground parking was a big plus and very secure as we had our own car and rented some bikes during the trip. The pool is a nice addition and very well maintained.

The cleanliness of the room was the only minor issue during our stay. Damp smell in the room on arrival and the bed cushions and throw clearly hadn’t been washed or cleaned in a while. The bed linen and pillow cases were clean though. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay, would recommend and would definitely return.

The location of the hotel was excellent. Right by the main port but just tucked around the corner overlooking the gardens near the lighthouse. The breakfast was excellent - lots of self serve buffet choice . Beautiful breakfast room

It was a shame that we weren’t allowed to use the pool. It was one of the reasons we booked this hotel and we wouldn’t have minded the cold water as we live by the sea in Dorset Uk. The night porter said it would be available to use but the day staff said no. That was a disappointment to me.

This was the second time in a row we spent New Year's Eve in this hotel. This time around it was even better than last year, which obviously was also great, as we came back :) The staff (and especially Victor) was extremely pet-friendly, super accommodating and helpful. They went out of his way to make the stay for us and our feline family members as enjoyable as possible! We especially enjoyed the very personal interaction and shared stories. Thanks again Victor and colleagues! The room was beautifully decorated, spacious and very clean and the location of the hotel is perfect just steps away from the harbor. Once again we had a wonderful time here and already look forward to our next stay!

Superior double rooms very spacious with excellent en-suite facilities. Buffet breakfast very good with a wide choice of foods available. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Car parking facility on site was extremely useful to us during quite a busy period in St. Martin.

No actual bar or evening meals available but drinks and snacks could always be requested at Reception and this was no problem to the staff.

Lovely hotel in a great location overlooking the harbour. Staff were lovely and very friendly. Room was spacious with good views over the park and sea. Car park is tight to manoeuvre in but was fine. We have a mid size SUV. There is also paid parking space directly outside the hotel. Breakfast was good.

Decoration of the room was basic. Sound proofing between rooms and floors isn't great.

Fantastic location, with just a very short walk to the restaurants and bars. The hotel also has a lovely swimming pool, but we didn’t get to use it. Breakfast was extensive and great, sitting outside overlooking the pool. The room was smaller than expected and not fantastically well appointed, but the bed was comfortable.

The bedrooms have no air conditioning and leaving the windows open, meant we had a lot of noise from outside that didn’t subside until the early morning. The room was slightly small and missing a comfortable chair, but perfectly adequate, but not the best value.

Everything, location was perfect. Room could have been bigger, but we only used it for sleeping. And that was amazing as the bed and linens were great. And it was really quiet over night. Bkfst was delicious. And the general manager was very professional and gracious. This definitely filters down to the staff as they were all the same. Kudos to him!

Great location with friendly and helpful staff

Great hotel in a good area but the decor is not particularly atmospheric, though I knew this before booking. It could be utterly fab with some good interior design. The breakfast was ample but average quality. The sea view bedroom was stretching it a bit ... it faced seawards but you couldn't see the sea!
