Very charming (a bit vintage) hotel, spacious and clean room with comfy bed. Good breakfast is served in the garden in the backyard in the garden. The hotel is located on front of the place used for public (free) parking. The staff is very friendly and professional. The good bar/restaurant next to the hotel. Despite my concerns regarding soundproofing (as building is quite old) it was very quiet.

The bathroom (which is very clean) looks a bit outdated and should be modernized. May be could be noisy on Thursdays - market day on the front place.

Fantastic position. Great value for money. Superbly helpful. This place is a 9.5 on ratings not a 7. It should not be pulled down by wifi connection. Honestly. Value for money great. First off - reception staff so helpful and friendly. It is minutes to everything. Room was perfect. Comfortable +++ bed. Newly renovated bathroom. Fabulous shower. Bikes available to ride. The room was very large with the bathroom and bedroom divided by a third sitting room with a settee. It had very recently been refurbished to a high degree with a good sized walk-in shower. There was a large courtyard and garden at the rear of the property onto which our room opened. Plenty of tables and chairs were provided giving a pleasant quiet area.

The only real criticism was the weak Wi-if reception both in the bedroom and the main reception room of the hotel. The TV did not work for several days, but the staff were very diligent in sorting the problem and it was eventually fixed.

Great location for exploring Chinon ..don't miss out on the chapel in the hill..Staff spoke English and were very attentive..Small room but good bathroom but no cable tv . Breakfast was amazing and great value for money . Bar next door was a bit too handy if you like a beer ..Would highly recommend and I was there for 3 nights and would return.

Location was very good, since we had a car. It was easy to drive to. Our room was very clean, great shower, beds were comfortable, a bit on the hard side. breakfast was simple with coffee machine for coffee. It was an easy 5 min. walk to town center.

parking was safe across the street,but it was necessary to move a bit away on market day.

The staff could not have made us more welcome, really helpful . The room was spacious and clean, very dog friendly. Highly recommend the hotel

The breakfast room was delightful. The staff were excellent and helpful. The found a pharmacy for me on a Sunday morning and on my route to Normandy. Very central for the town.

I had a medical problem with a foot which prevented me walking. The hotel could not have done more to look after me. I was moved into the excellent suite for the disabled and given a wheelchair. The staff would not allow me to do anything for myself! I had my lunch brought in from the restaurant next door and staff checked regularly to see if I needed anything else. The owner pushed me in the wheelchair to a nearby medical centre, where I was due to see a doctor but the centre had t be evacuated immediately because the house next door had caught fire! The owner took me to nearby pharmacy where I was able to obtain all I needed. I was overwhelmed with the hotel's concern for my welfare and was able to depart 2 days later.

A comfortable hotel in the centre of Chinon with free car parking in front of the hotel. Staff were welcoming and helpful with local information on where to eat and visit. Breakfast was a buffet with lots of choices. A good value hotel and highly recommended.

We have stayed there before so we new what to expect. Very close to the places to eat . Very interesting to walk around and see all the old buildings
