Lovely hotel in a very pretty area, easy drive to Chinon and a comfortable room with beautiful outside seating areas.

It would be nice to have more dinner options at the restaurant.

Rooms 70’s style and dating - slight lacking in attention to detail in only one set of towels - advertised restaurant which looked like it had closed got the winter - also advertised on booking.com as ‘Last room’ “”Really”!! I question, perhaps the last two are down to booking.com, either was not helpful and miss leading

The hotel is in a very nice old historical building. It was amazing to read the history of this ancient residence started from the XIII century in the hotel book. We lived on the top attic floor, which we climbed up by magic internal compact spiral staircase that looked like an attached tower from the outside. There is a large parking lot behind the house where we put our car and very nice breakfast in the restaurant in the nearest building. The location turned out to be really very convenient for visiting castles. We visited 5 castles in 3 days :) The room had a bath and everything you need, even a teapot for evening tea after trips and heaters which is important for cold period. It was also ideal for us from the number of beds point of view, usually, it is very hard to find satisfactory rooms in hotels. So we really liked the hotel and the details of its history are just what you expect from heart of France. Thank you for a good vacation!

The owner was lovely and the building is beautiful. Everything was very clean and the beds comfy. There are small things that in my opinion let it down and that is it needs updating. It was a bit of a mis match, beautiful wardrobe, modern headboard, old curtains. It wouldnt take much for a quick spruce up, but i would stay again as all clean. Didnt try dinner or breakfast.

Wonderful place! IT is located in the quiet , charming village, among the vineyards. The building is very old with a long history. Room was spacious, well furnished, with amazing old fireplace and very comfortable bed. IT is clear that the host pays a lot of attention to all decor details. This hotel is also accustomed for cyclist. There is a well equiped, secured bike storage.

Beautiful setting, lovely staff and fantastic value for money! The kids loved being able to hang out just outside our room.

Some things seemed a little silly, for instance there was a dining table in the living space and another taking up all the space in the small kitchen when they’re right next to each other.

The place was excellent in every way! Beautiful house, great gardens, delicious breakfast. Staff very helpful and kind. Lovely place in every way!

NOTHING AT ALL

The quietness, the comfort of the bed, the birdsong in the morning. The bathroom was fine, we had the suite so a good amount of space and we liked the traditional decor. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I was served a really excellent bottle of white Chinon as well!

Would have loved it if the restaurant were open!

Very romantic location, calm, natural - and the staff were exceptional, driving us to Chinon for a meal when the local taxi wouldn’t pick us up on time
