The house was a beautiful period property, full of character, that had been lovingly furnished and cared for. Laetitia was a wonderful host, taking time to give us advice on where to park in Saumur and where to eat. Our room had everything we needed and there was a fridge just outside where we could store our food and get water. Breakfast was great, overlooking the garden where chickens happily wandered around. We were able to park outside the property with no problem. Outside of the city centre the street lights are switched off at 9pm so its a great place for looking at the stars. I hope we can revisit some time soon.

A family house with character. The bed was comfortable and there was everything I wanted, including safe undercover parking for a motorcycle. Decent breakfast. Quiet, despite it being close to a road.

This place is a little too far from the centre to walk, but it's certainly possible if you have the time.

The property has been lovingly restored and fitted out with 21st century amenities. Excellent wifi and a very good shower. A large room which was thoughtfully laid out. The use of a fridge and microwave was much appreciated. This is a really top class B and B.

There was nothing we didn’t like

We had a warm welcome to the lovely property and enjoyed a spacious, comfortable bedroom and a tasty breakfast. We were travelling by bike and it was a short cycle into the centre of Saumur from the location for an evening meal. The safe storage if our bikes was also appreciated.

From the outside the house looks ordinary but inside it’s a lovely old tastefully renovated place with a large garden. Breakfast was very good with a range of foodstuffs. There is secure covered bicycle parking. Excellent value for money. The owner is friendly and helpful.

Very warm welcome from the owners was much appreciated. Pleasant room and healthy breakfast. Storage space for bicycles was convenient. City center is only 2km away, easily accessible by bicycle.

An absolute gem. Lovely welcome and check in by the owners daughter, fantastic room and a wonderfully comfortable bed. Great breakfast each morning. Would definitely recommend a stay here to other travellers

This was a great find. We wanted to stay in Bagneux and this house is central. Although in the daytime the street is quite busy, we did not find it disturbing at night. We parked on the street (it's the sort of area where the residents, if questioned abot security, answer with an affronted "Ce n'est pas Paris") just across from the house. We had a pleasant wander around the area after dinner. Breakfast was generous and - bonus - we got a very useful recommendation of a boulangerie (as used by La Douceur).

The total aesthetic: period, limestone built town house, very tastefully furnished, no television and the friendliness of the host family.

Laetitia was a great host. Room large, good ensuite. Good breakfast and access to garden. Dog and chickens were a bonus.
