The staff were very helpful and pleasant (while kept very busy!). The breakfasts and evening meal were very good. The room was comfortable and clean and a good size with parking right outside which was handy for us. The terrace has a good view of the chateau in the distance. Good location for a few nights and we were able to cycle around Saumur and to Fontevraud, so a very decent base.

The external decor and gardens could do with a bit of improvement - slightly tired and untidy. It's a little hard to find and on the edge of the town, up a hill so the centre is quite a distance.

I had an evening meal in the restaurant which was excellent and just what I needed after a long hot day on a motorcycle, the beer was cold to! My ground floor room allowed me to park the bike right outside and keep an eye on it and on request I was also provided a more secluded room that meant the bike wasn't easily seen, the staff were really friendly and helpful room felt recently refurbished and the shower was fantastic - excellent all round stop when heading further south.

Nothing everything was great

I liked the stuff. Everyone is very friendly. I loved the breakfast Very clean rooms. Reception was incredible. Both girls one in the evening and the other in the morning both incredible.

I have started on room 62...very good ...down side , for the price the rooms should have air conditioning...to hot...just the top window is not enough for that room. Room number 9...very hot and smelled like dump. Overall good staying...you need to adress the air conditioning.

Room small but good enough for our 1 night stay. Very clean. Everything we needed was provided. Staff very welcoming and spoke good English which was very helpful for us. Acceptable bar. Good meal. Did not take breakfast as had an early start for onward journey. Prices of everything were very reasonable and excellent value for money. Location was very convenient to our route of travel going onwards in a northerly direction. All-in-all it was ideal for our purposes.

Staff were very helpful. Good evening meal available with the opportunity to have supper on the terrace overlooking the chateau. Reasonable breakfast. Great to have kettle and coffee/tea making facilities in the room.

No air con in room though a fan was available to use. Premises a little 'tired', clean but needs updating or refurbishing. Not quite the standard we have seen in other Campanile premises. Outside seating areas overgrown with long scrubby grass and shrubs.

Friendly atmosphere, location, food was good quality. Hard working staff. Parking outside the room a big bonus for disabled persons (if left clear).

Towels in the room were bordering on the past it stage. Adjoining roomsters parking. rear of vehicles wheels against the kerb leaving less than 600mm clear space to walk through along room frontage.

Lovely helpful staff, clean comfortable room, tasty simple food, quiet location.

Lack of air conditioning. There was a fan but blowing around warm air is ineffective for a comfortable night. Like many Campanile locations the buildings are showing their age.

Really clean and tidy property ideal for an overnight stop. Coffee and tea in the room was most welcome after a long day on the road. Excellent internet connection . Can’t fault it or the staff.

Nothing it was exactly what I needed

We had dinner bed and breakfast and it was very good value. The room we were in has been upgraded to the one we were in last year and was a big improvement.

The road into the hotel needs improvement.

This is a very nice hotel. Very basic, but for its price excellently suited. Breakfast is good, and I had a nice dinner there as well. The hotel is on the outskirts of Bagneux, with easy access to the motorway, which makes it ideal for those passing through. Getting to Saumur city centre is also very easy, just turn right off the hotel's street and it is a straight shot to Saumur and the river. As a tourist, you should have all the possibilities.

The only downside I've found is the wifi. In the bar and restaurant, the coverage was spotty at best. In the room itself coverage was fine but the portal was not online, and I had to disable and re-enable the wifi before I got a good connection.
