Staff v helpful and friendly. Location great. Rooms very well appointed and thought out - lots of little helpful things as if well planned by people who had put the traveller first - lamps and switches in good places, fridges in rooms, nice decor, useful hooks etc. nice terrace at rear of property and good parking with EV charging. sustainable - no plastic crap in rooms.

Breakfast was a bit crap, 14 euros for some pastries and a bit of cold meat. Fruit was awful - black bananas. We had breakfast in the room after that.

The hotel itself has a lovely feel to it. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The air conditioning is a must during certain times of the year. This was the case during our stay. The breakfast the following day was lovely. Everything was fresh, and there was a very relaxed feeling in the breakfast area.

We originally booked an apartment that didn't seem to have air conditioning that worked. Our first night was very unpleasant due to the heat. However, we spoke to the manager the following day who did everything he could to make the remainder of our stay more comfortable. He gave us the option of moving to a new room, which we did. Are belongings were moved for us from the apartment to the new room. So it turned out to be one of the nicest parts of our trip.

Friendly receptionist upon arrival. Room / suite was better than expected and quite spacious. Excellent location, very close to the heart of the town. Good variety of food or breakfast in pleasant and clean breakfast room

Lift does not go all the way to the level that our suite was on, resulting in walking across corridor and up flight of stairs. Not the end of the world but, if we had much more luggage than an overnight bag then it would have reduced our rating further. When it was booked, one of the search criteria was for Parking, which was full when we arrived and we had to park on the street. Not what we wanted as we had more luggage in the car and would have preferred more secure parking lot.

This hotel had outstanding staff who were incredibly kind and helpful. We arrived on a motorbike after riding for 3 hours in heavy rain. We arrived absolutely soaked and the very kind lady in reception gave us a perfect room which was ideal to dry our sopping wet gear. She couldn't have been more helpful. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the shower was fabulous. All the rooms are themed and we had the Queen Margeurite, very tasteful and spacious. The next day the same lady was on reception and was also supervising breakfast. We had a really beautiful breakfast with all local produce and some scrumptious scrambled eggs. She made sure everything was topped up and perfect throughout. Very impressive and showed the staff really care about their hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. We managed to get a parking space in their secure car park and they gave us it for half price seeing as we were a motorbike, that's a first!

Nothing negative to say.

The communication from the hotel was top-notch from beginning to end. Every member of the staff was helpful, friendly, and a pleasure to interact with. The location is excellent, and the AC in the room provided a wonderful feeling of comfort both day and night. The beds were exceptionally comfortable.

The bathroom and toilet were separate, which is a good thing, but there wasn’t a sink in the toilet, so it was a bit inconvenient.

Everything was to our satisfaction especially the quiet room. The hotel is situated in the centre of town close to a good variety of cafes and restaurants. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Sufficient breakfast. The secure car parking was a necessity for us - extra positives for that!

Knowing we were booked to use the hotel’s parking it would have been useful to receive a message detailing entry to the parking. On arriving, we had to park away from the hotel & walk back to enquire how & where to park.

Firstly, the hotel is excellently placed for being able to walk around the beautiful city of Saumur with the chateau and river within about 10 mins walk. Secondly, the hotel is cute, quirky, characterful, and the staff really friendly, and made us feel very welcome.

Not really a negative, but fiinding a parking space at first seemed tricky, although there is free on-street parking within 5 mins walk, and a plenty big public car park just behind the hotel that has free parking between 18.00 - 09.00

The beds were very comfortable and the location was very convenient, with bars and restaurants within an easy walking distance.

The breakfast selection wasn’t great. We had an issue with cleanliness in the room which we reported. The response from management was very positive and the problems were resolved to our complete satisfaction. It would, of course, have been better not to have had a cause for complaint in the first place.

Very friendly and helpful greeting on check-in. Breakfast for extra payment was very good with efficient staff keeping everything well stocked. Easy pedestrian access to the city sights and restaurants etc.

I know this is a boutique hotel but the room was incredibly small and the bathroom only just possible to use due to its size. Any obese person might find it almost impossible. The bed too was rather small - in order to fit into the room I guess.

Clean and modern room with a firm but comfortable bed and coffee making facilities. We also had a small private terrace. The air conditioning was essential in very hot weather and the system was quiet and efficient. Very helpful and courteous staff. Great location in central Saumur. Would definitely stay there again.
