Marie was so lovely and met us at the door when we arrived. The property is beautiful, and we had a lovely spacious comfy ensuite room. Marie served a lovely breakfast of bread and pastries in the morning. We also got to meet her sweet dog :) Would definitely recommend staying here in the stunning village of Montsoreau. Do a walk around the village (and neighbouring Candes St Martin) as it’s very beautiful. Also would recommend eating at Le Montsorelli which is a 3 min walk from the property. Great food and service!

The breakfast was excellent and the location was great (quite literally opposite the Loire River which was 20m away) and parking was easy - right across the road and next to the river. The town (actually large, medieval village, set on the hillside overlooking the Loire River) is just beautiful.

The shower was not quite working properly (Marie - the owner - had warned us as she showed us around the apartment); I know that she was 'désole' about this and will put it right, but honesty demands that I mention it.

The host was lovely and attentive. Location couldn’t be closer to to river. Our room was comfortable. Breakfast was lovely in the main dining area. The local area is quiet and a short walk to a wine shop and cafe/bar.

Not a lot nearby apart from a museum of modern art and an expensive restaurant so be prepared with your own food and drink.

We received a very warm welcome. The room was very comfortable and we had a good breakfast. The location is excellent; next to la Loire and ideal for travelling to nearby historic sites, the fortress at Chinon for example. We would stay again . Highly recommended.

It was a great bold hole very near the Loire in a beautiful village and our hostess was very helpful

Visiting in another hot summer highlighted the need for airconditioning We received a scam email stating that the booking was cancelled and that we would not be charged this purported to be from booking.com we had already paid and the host had already received payment Dont be drawn into these scams

Lovely couple hosted us - so helpful! Lots of advice for us. Superb rooms and a beautiful breakfast.

We had to travel into Saumur for our evening meal - it was a Monday and the local restaurants were closed, but that is not a reflection of our enjoyment of our stay.

It was a perfect stay.

The room is integrated in the old fortifications of the city, it combines a romantic, castle-like style with comfortable bed and facilities. The garden is wonderful and the view over the Loire from the breakfast table is splendid. The host is really kind.
