Despite its rather unattractive exterior it is a really lovely little hotel, and is an easy drive into Saumur town. The room (Superior double) was spacious and comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and friendly - especially Zoe on reception. Excellent dinner in an attractive dining room. Good breakfast. Super outdoor pool and gardens, (although we didn’t use them.) I wish we had stayed longer!

Saumur is a brilliant base for the Loire Valley, and the hotel is fantastic, we have stayed here before, and that we have come back for a secind stay should support any recommendation. The staff are utterly fantastic and so friendly and helpfull. Will certainly return again. Oh yes, the food is exceptional.

Restaurant prices were fine but outrageous price for a large beer, over 10 euros. It wasn’t this expensive in Zermatt , Switzerland . Staff were good except a surly male waiter in restaurant. Someone else has complained about him. Unhelpful and a superior attitude left me uncomfortable

Clean elegant welcoming property ; comfortable rooms , amazing heated swimming pool , poolside chairs and wicker chairs around the garden area . Friendly welcoming professional staff- had the best 3 course meal here outside on patio - it was pretty perfect - waiting on staff were friendly - Laurent was particularly good

Loved everything

It is on the edge of Saumur so very quiet. We have used the restaurant before and found it to be excellent, but it is closed on Sundays. Breakfast very good with a varied choice. Rooms have air conditioning which is perfect during a heatwave. The staff recommended a restaurant in Saumur that was open on Sunday evening which was absolutely outstanding (le Pot du Lapin)

Room well furnished & bathroom had an excellent shower & toiletries Dinner menu was nice & the breakfast buffet had something for everyone Ideal location for my trip, and the Loire Valley if of interest Wifi worked well Plenty of plug points to charge devices

The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The dinner was very good and the breakfast was plentiful and well above average.

The room was rather dark and souless, bathroom too cramped for 2x persons. Unfortunately rather typical of a chain hotel group.

Fantastic friendly service from the minute we walked into the hotel. After a long day driving it was great to jump in the pool and unwind. The restaurant food was delicious, particularly the home made desserts. This hotel is dog friendly , we ate on the terrace with the dog by our table, the waiting staff even brought him a bowl of water! Similarly, the waiting staff were very patient and helpful with our daughter who has to eat gluten free. All in all a great hotel that we would use again.

The location was perfect, quiet but near to the centre of Samaur. Staff were very friendly. Drinks in the bar after an evening out was ideal. Breakfast was varied and set us up for the journey home. Would really recommend this hotel
