We had a truly wonderful one night stay at Le Petit Hureau! Sylvie was an incredibly warm and welcoming host. The little castle accommodation was full of charm: beautifully decorated, spotless, clean, and thoughtfully prepared in every detail. The peaceful surroundings and stunning scenery added to the magic of our stay. Breakfast was delicious and served with care. We couldn’t have asked for a more delightful experience. ALL outstanding. Wonderful breakfast, location and garden superb. Our room was cool even in the extreme temperatures during our stay. We loved the traditional decor, comfortable bed and fabulous bathroom. Jean was friendly, his local knowledge invaluable and very much appreciated. He is also a very good cook.

It’s in a tranquil location but close to vineyards, restaurants, bars and Saumur. The room was spacious and nicely furnished. The owners are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was calm and there was a nice selection of items. We found a local bar in the troglodyte caves called La Terrasse which does good food and local drinks.

There was nothing we didn’t like. We’d go back to stay there.

Great accommodation in an old chateau which I would definitely stay at again. Good breakfast and evening meal provided although only Table D'hote. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Good security for motorcycles.

The yard where the motorcycles are kept has gravel about three inches deep in places so make sure you are unloaded before attempting the off road manoeuvring experience.

Beautiful property in Saumur. Lovely hosts who went out of their way to make sure our stay was great. Breakfast was lovely and served in a stunning garden if weather is good. Hosts gave us lots of information about where to go to visit and best restaurants. We would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you so much Sylvie and Jean.

The location was ideal for our overnight stay. Jean made us feel very welcome and provided a very nice breakfast. Our top floor room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We had our own private shower/wc facilities adjacent to the bedroom. Parking was opposite in private parking spaces. We had a lovely stay and would book again.

Everything!! This is an absolute gem of a find. The hosts are amazing..bedrooms and facilities amazing..breakfast amazing. This is a fantastic place to stay and we will be back. As a note the recommend local restaurant is superb and the food is delicious.

Nothing at all. If you want to be central to the town, please note this is a 5 minute car journey away, but it is so worth the journey from town to stay in this lovely B&B

interesting building - querky. The room is tastefully decorated and very comfortable.

The room lists terrace as a facility but it should be made clear that this is not attached to the room and is shared with other guests. This was not a problem for us but i think it should be made clearer.

Sylvie and her husband were so very helpful and friendly. They directed us to a restaurant just around the corner and we had the best meal of our 3 weeks in France! The room was enormous and thoughtfully appointed with everything anyone could need. There is a biking trail along the river right across the road. A huge plus is being able to easily park our car directly across the street.

We loved our stay in this magical place. Situated 10 minutes by car from Saumur center, it offers an experience in the quiet of a small medieval style castle room. The host was very kind and caring. Free parking is included.

We only had some minor issues with the shower, as the drain was most likely partially blocked and the water on the surface kept on accumulating. Pillows could be more comfortable. Moreover, some additional choices for the breakfast would have been nice.
