interesting building - querky. The room is tastefully decorated and very comfortable.

The room lists terrace as a facility but it should be made clear that this is not attached to the room and is shared with other guests. This was not a problem for us but i think it should be made clearer.

Everything!! This is an absolute gem of a find. The hosts are amazing..bedrooms and facilities amazing..breakfast amazing. This is a fantastic place to stay and we will be back. As a note the recommend local restaurant is superb and the food is delicious.

Nothing at all. If you want to be central to the town, please note this is a 5 minute car journey away, but it is so worth the journey from town to stay in this lovely B&B

We loved our stay in this magical place. Situated 10 minutes by car from Saumur center, it offers an experience in the quiet of a small medieval style castle room. The host was very kind and caring. Free parking is included.

We only had some minor issues with the shower, as the drain was most likely partially blocked and the water on the surface kept on accumulating. Pillows could be more comfortable. Moreover, some additional choices for the breakfast would have been nice.

An unusual but large and comfortable first floor room in the tower which contained two double beds and two comfy armchairs. The ensuite bathroom was well fitted with modern sanitaryware and a good shower over the bath. A substantial breakfast with pancakes, Madelaine's and freshly squeezed orange juice was served next morning in a breakfast room carved out of the rock cliff behind the property. Parking for my 36year old classic Ferrari was safe and secure in the walled and gravelled courtyard where the gates are locked at night. Sylvie, who welcomed us on arrival, kindly recommended a decent restaurant about 100yds along the road which we were able to walk to.

Nothing - everything was to our liking and it was an ideal overnight stopover on our way home from SW France.

Sylvie and her husband were so very helpful and friendly. They directed us to a restaurant just around the corner and we had the best meal of our 3 weeks in France! The room was enormous and thoughtfully appointed with everything anyone could need. There is a biking trail along the river right across the road. A huge plus is being able to easily park our car directly across the street.

Free parking spaces were reserved for guests directly across the road. Jean & Sylvie were gracious & friendly hosts. It was a novel experience for us to sleep in a centuries old house. The home made breakfast with other guests was great. We enjoyed our stopover stay and would book this one again.

Apple Maps directed us 1km away from the address, but we found it by driving a little further down the road and looking for their sign. Close the windows before sundown to avoid mosquitoes getting into the room.

Once we were moved from our room on the 3 rd floor ,all was good,the room it's self was lovely.We were moved to the apartment and I didn't have a problem with that and it was lovely.

The stairs were the chateau type original,and we had not been made aware of this,there was no hand rail at all,I don't normaly have a problem but I just could not manage these

Beautiful large room with many original features. Very clean and comfortable bed. Owner pleasant and friendly and he recommend a nice local restaurant where we had a lovely meal.Breakfast in the cave room was special with home made pancakes and jam. This will not be our last visit.

Everything was perfect

Absolutely loved our 1 night stay here. John our host was really friendly and gave us lots of advice. Room was very comfortable and clean with lots of character. Breakfast was continental and plenty of choice. We had breakfast in the lovely garden. There was sufficient parking just opposite. We would loved to have stayed longer and would certainly stay here again.

Everything! Lovely setting, iconic stone house set in cliff on bank of Loire. Charming hosts and traditional decor we loved, but still mod cons and comfortable. Tea/coffee tray in room and (bravo) no TV set, but good wifi. Bantams free ranging delightful.
