Anneke and her husband are very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, inside a lovely rural building. They are near to a superb wine tasting house of Philip Brocourt. The beautiful and ancient town of Chinon is just a couple of miles away. The swimming pool is delightful and at 24 degrees comfortable to swim in. The breakfast was also delicious.

We absolutely liked everything very much but have to mention the low doorway and low beams in the room we stayed, which meant we banged our heads several times. Ouch!

The property is an old restored farmhouse with absolutely delightful touches. It is not actually in Chinon, it is outside a hamlet on the outskirts of Chinon, but it sits on a hill and the views of the castle of Chinon from the property are incredible. We stayed in a lovely 2-bed apartment by the pool, had our own outdoor area with a table for al fresco dining, and a good size kitchen inside the apartment. The place was extremely dog-friendly. The owners have dogs too and understand the needs of other dog-owners very well. Breakfast with local produce was extra but absolutely delicious. The hosts are very welcoming. I would have loved to stay longer and hope to return.

Absolutely perfect from start to end! We had a brief stop over on our way to Calais from the west France. A family run business, the hosts were great and couldn’t do enough for you. I am glad she asked us whether we would like to eat at the restaurant as the food was spectacular, as a family we agreed it was the best pizza’s we have ever had and we have had a lot! :-) the Chefs crème brûlée is another treason to return here. The property had a gorgeous traditional French rustic charm feel to it. It even impressed my 6 and 13 year old children who loved staying here. The photographs online do not do this property justice, it is an absolute hidden gem!! We will definitely be returning next year but maybe stay a few nights to enjoy the local area, which was absolutely beautiful. The owners should be proud of their achievements!

We were eventually upgraded because the head height in the double room booked was causing concern and my wife hit her head several times which is surprising as she is shorter than I am. However I had to stoop which was uncomfortable and there was only a Velux window with no easily accessible view.

It was unfortunate in the description that within all the pictures it was not mentioned the concerns above, it would have either led to less confusion or we would have found an alternative gite. We would not have had to move rooms.

It is a very nice property in Chinon. With incredible pizza restaurant which was full on a Sunday night and is renown in the region. Staying there we had the privilege to get a table.. The yard had flowers and the pool was covered and clean. The room was big and very nice. This place is surrounded by vineyards. We would like to stay longer and explore the region. There are beautiful views of Chinon and its castle.

Lovely accommodation in a pretty spot with beautiful views over Chinon Room was very comfortable with comfy chairs and bed. Small but adequate bathroom Pizzeria very good. Huge portions available to share Owners were welcoming and very helpful contacting our next accommodation as we don't speak French

Nothing Entirely our fault our satnav took us through the centre of Chinon which can be tricky so be aware

Beautiful, well appointed apartment in a lovely building. The apartment was quiet and spacious and had everything we needed, including in the kitchen. Staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. We'd love to return in the summer and take advantage of the pool!

It's a bit outside of Chinon, and not near public transportation -- just for those planning transportation options.

Excellent accommodation for a great holiday with amazing food at the restaurant. The lovely hosts have created a very special place here and we were so glad we booked and would love to return. The apartment was perfect for our family and we all loved the pool and pretty courtyard. Nice views of Chinon and easy for enjoying the delights of this wonderful region. Best pizzas and creme brûlée - such a bonus!

Comfort, quiet, clean, lovely decoration and very nice staff (including a sweet dog). The amazing meal at the pizzeria was an added bonus. They even prepared a special pizza without gluten and lactose because one of our family members has food allergies. Highly recommend!!!!!!!

What a beautiful find only a short, safe bike ride out of town. Overlooking vineyards and the town’s chateau, we loved every part of our stay. Ourselves and our kids especially loved bike parking, breakfast and dinner at the onsite pizza restaurant. A highlight!
