The room was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The accommodation was very conveniently placed.

The bath and shower head were a little awkward to navigate. The sound insulation wasn't great but we understand that's just a feature of this beautiful old house.

Location is perfect, near the Abbey and parking. And right on the town square with a bakery a few doors down. Check-in went very smooth, characterful old building with old stairs and breakfast was more than enough

You had to go down a few steps to get to the bathroom, no issue for us but if you aren't very mobile I'd give it a miss.

Brilliant location as we came to see fontvraud abbey and it’s literally across the square from it. Gorgeous room.

Nothing. Minor issue that the tel no on the door didn’t take us to someone who could let us in on arrival. We needed to use the no on booking.com which was terrible to use. Not the fault of the owner

The host was superb, friendly efficient greeting. The place is so central. It was really good to be have communal tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was well presented and as I was travelling further south it was super to be able to get up, eat and be on my way.

The bath/shower was incredible, but I would have liked a rubber mat to use the shower. I may have missed seeing it?

Very quirky/ unique place , right in the centre of the Village. Met by a lovely lady who directed us to our family room. The room was spacious and had a wonderful shower! Stairs to the second floor- maybe difficult for some people. Help yourself breakfast! breads, cheese, honey, fruit etc

This place was quirky! The room was one over a restaurant, which was, unfortunately, closed. The bathroom, complete with large bath, was actually bigger than the bedroom, but that didn't really matter. It was strange, but certainly not a traditional hotel room as we imagine them to be - a box with a bathroom in the corner. The breakfast was a DIY affair, but was fine nonetheless. The owner was charming and the location in this sweet little village was perfect.

We were slightly disappointed that the restaurant was closed for the holidays (when surely a restaurant should be open), although the owner (whom we had to telephone to get into the place) pointed us in the direction of a relatively nearby bar/restaurant where fine pizzas were to be had - and where we met the owner. While clean, the room was a little disorganised - there was, for instance, no soap to be had. There was a slightly amateur feeling about the place, but in some ways, that added to its charm. Different people might see it differently...

Perfectly situated for the Abbaye. Easy access to nearby public parking. Comfortable. Friendly hosts. Good breakfast. Owners operate a superb, popular restaurant next door.

Location was good in centre of Town, interesting property, not the best for people over 6ft as low beams. Games room with table football etc was good for our child. All in all a good stay.

No wifi on the top floor. But worked fine on the ground floor. Breakfast was very 'bready' carb heavy.

The host was extremely friendly and welcoming and happily accommodated our late arrival. The proximity to the Abbey and to excellent restaurants was a plus. We loved staying in a home with so much history and character, but which has been outfitted with modern comforts and facilities.

Amazing location next to the Abbaye. Super friendly and helpful owner. Quirky decor but with every comfort and fresh croissants for breakfast.
