What an amazing place to be based whilst in Dinan! Everything is done beautifully here, from the bedding that makes you feel like you could stay in bed all day, to the delicious breakfast that makes sure you don’t! The building is stunning, and the decor is incredibly sympathetic. Catherine is a fantastic host and the location means you’re right in the heart of the city with everything at your fingertips but it’s still amazingly quiet! On top of that, parking is super close which makes things easy.

Unfortunately the square at the front of the property is currently undergoing huge renovations which means it is all dug up and there are lots of machines around. However, it didn’t really impact too much - and the plus is that they are turning the square into a green space so I’m the future it will make this place an even better stay than it already is!!

Lots of character. Beautifully renovated. Fabulous, large room with a very comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. The building is in the middle of a very pretty and interesting town. Breakfast was very good with the option of cooked eggs if wanted.

There were very steep, winding and narrow stairs to the second floor. We didn’t expect this and it made it quite difficult for my husband. The description on the website said we would be on the first floor. Also we were not warned about the road works outside the property which meant we couldn’t get to it by car and spent several minutes trying to find it on sat nav. When we commented on this to the staff who let us in, she didn’t apologise nor did she seem to think it was a big deal.

Situated right next to St Saviour in the heart of the old town. Lovely character rooms well equipped. Great breakfast

There is car parking but we were provided free of charge a pass into the near by car park a five minute walk away. There are a lot of road works going on at present around the area, which makes driving difficult to get to the property, but not impossible. It is not easy to see the property, as there is only a very small plaque on the wall to identify it.

Location is superb, in the middle of the old city with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Room was lovely and had a great view over the Basilica square. The house is very old, and has been refurbished to a high standard, but access to the room was up three flights of stairs (two are narrow spiral staircases) - not a problem for us but could be for others who are less mobile. Host was very friendly with good English (and carried our bags to our room while we parked the car). Breakfast was great - continental only but with a great selection of cheese, meats and bread/croissant.

It was a holiday weekend and there was some noise from the bars nearby until quite late. Access to room difficult (see above) but also part of the charm of the property - it is very old.

We spent two nights at Maison Pavie and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The hotel is exquisitely decorated with an Asian-inspired theme that blends beautifully with the existing medieval charm. The location is perfect—right in the heart of town, yet surprisingly peaceful. We stayed in the Deluxe Vinh-Long room, which was stunning. The décor was beautiful, with gorgeous frescoes by painter André Maire on the walls. The room featured a luxurious double shower and a very comfortable bed. Catherine and Ghislain were fantastic hosts, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, especially at the shared breakfast table, where conversations with other guests often sparked. The breakfast itself was excellent, with a delicious selection of high-quality tea, coffee, fresh bread, croissants, jams, fruits, and even the local Craquelins! Next time we’re in Dinan, we’ll return without hesitation!

My only suggestion would be to offer more vegetarian or vegan options, though we were informed that they are happy to accommodate dietary requests if made in advance.

Everything was just perfect. The building is a beautiful mix of old and modern, where necessary. The room was spotless and the bed very comfy with a good selection of pillows. The host was fantastic and spoke excellent english. Breakfast was lovely.

Breakfast is served on one large dining table. It was slightly awkward because you're shoulder to shoulder with complete strangers. That's the only thing I can criticise and you might have different guests during your stay. Will definitely stay again

We loved the location of this B&B. The hosts were very friendly and showed us all facilities available. The room was large and very comfortable. The shower was great too. We loved the history behind the home and enjoyed staying here and would love to come back again. There was coffee available whenever we wanted. The breakfasts were also excellent. It was fantastic to have parking available at no extra cost. Really really loved it here.

If there is any criticism, I would say the stairs to reach our room were rather tricky but this in no way hindered our enjoyment. It added to the quirkiness of staying in a heritage building.

I liked everything about this hotel. It was immaculately cared for, but still relaxed. Ghislain was ace, made fantastic breakfast and didn't get irritated that I took my time eating it, savouring every taste. He also very kindly let me store my bicycle in the entrance. He was very helpful when I had a technical problem with IPAD, and sent me in the right direction to get help. He was informative about the house, and Auguste Piave, and 19th century explorer and diplomat who lived in the house in the late 1800s. The breakfast was very convivial, sitting around a big table with other interesting guests, great for a single traveller. I loved my room, and very comfortable bed. There was also a wonderful living room, and you got the impression that the hotel was designed primarily for the comfort and joy of guests, and not to use the last space to make more money.

Nothing of note. It is a 15th century house, and of course with that comes the properties of old house, no modern insulation, (but that was not a problem for me as I am used to living in old houses, and I relish their history) and the stairs can be quite steep, but again Ghislain was always there there to help with luggage etc.

Location couldn't have been better - right in the heart of Dinan. The service provided was amazing. We felt very at home. We loved the breakfast. Car parking is also provided which was amazing and very easy/close by.

As we stayed for 5 days, we would have loved a few more facilities in the room. The communal areas were beautiful & had everything we needed, but it would have been perfect if we could sometimes make coffee/tea in our room and rest in our own private space with a couple of comfy chairs.

Beautiful historic building but with all modern comforts. Our room was the highest floor and had a beautiful view of the square and church in front. Very tight circular staircases and we greatly appreciated our host helping us with luggage without even asking. Breakfast was excellent, our host very charming and helpful, and we appreciated extra gluten free items for my daughter. Right in the middle of old Dinan and all the sights and a paid-for spot at a covered parking garage a couple blocks from the hotel.
