The receptionist couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful! He helped us to get parking space for the car, he recommended restaurants and places to visit in Dinan and gave us the type of advice normally given by tourist information staff about other places of interest in the area. The hotel was in an excellent location on the edge of the beautiful old town within 5 minutes walk of a great selection of restaurants. There wasn't any parking available at the hotel, but there was a large public carpark across the road which cost in the range of 2 euros an hour, between 9.00am and 7.00pm. It felt safe to leave the car overnight and we didn’t have any problems in the 4 nights we were there.

The room we had was comfortable with an excellent shower but it had no view, looking out across an alleyway onto a stone wall. We only paid for continental breakfast, but it was disappointing and wasn’t good value for money. It was very limited, with no cereal, fresh fruit, ham or cheese. They were available from the menu but at an extra cost.

The location was perfect, central to everything, including the Information office, the castle, the town for sightseeing, shopping and dining. The garden is composed of many sitting areas that stretched out to an overlook of the castle and is a part of the original city walls. The photos on the website don’t do it justice. A variety of trees, plants, and flowers - the perfect place to relax with a beverage.

Make sure you choose the garden rooms because the front rooms hear the traffic, which isn’t awful (it is a small city) but when we were able to move to the back, it was so peaceful, especially hearing birds vs. traffic. The WiFi wasn’t great, but overall, we would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed one night in a large family room and it was very comfortable and clean. We had a room on the 3rd floor facing the garden and it was very quiet. Woken to the sounds of seagulls and roosters. Could have been in the middle of the countryside rather than the centre of town. Excellent location. Excellent hotel. Excellent staff. Beautiful town. Well worth a visit.

Had to leave early to catch a ferry from St Malo so missed breakfast in the garden, which was a shame. Garden looks delightful.

The garden was just amazing and we spent hours in there with drinks brought out to us. The staff were friendly and super helpful. A blissful stay and would go back again.

It would have been nice to be able to make an early morning tea in the bedroom.

Large quiet rooms and lovely indoor spaces. The garden in the back ends at the city wall! Also, we had a great breakfast here. Parking across the street or at a free parking lot down the road.

It was too noisy to sleep with windows open so the room was a bit stuffy. Pillow was not comfortable but the bed was good.

Location on edge of old city with parking options. Unbelievable garden overlooking city ramparts. Owner kindly helped with complexities of parking meters (French only)!
