We loved everything about Le Poisson Ivre. The staff is extremely professional, the room was beautiful with a gorgeous view of the port. Our room was well-appointed and was spotless. We received an excellent breakfast of croissant, rolls, and yoghurt in the morning. We loved this hotel and its village. We look forward to a future visit. We give it our highest recommendation.

In our particular room, when the sliding bathroom door was closed, a large gap remained, making the person sitting on the toilet feel a bit exposed. A bit of adhesive weather stripping would solve this problem. It is minor.

Lovely lady at check in and check out, so helpful and gave us take-away breakfast so we could make an early start. Really lovely relaxed dinner and host. Brilliant singer on the quay. Beautiful room with a view of the river

No parking. It’s such a good location and very easy to get too but we ended up parking 10 minutes away in a lay-by out of the town and no spaces became available so I really worried about my vehicle over night given that it was critical to our onward journey. When I asked the hotel there didn’t seem to be any solution.

The very friendly welcome made us feel wanted, and the food was excellent, with no problem booking a table for the evening. Climbing the narrow stairs to our room gave us a good workout after a days driving.

Parking outside was difficult - that clearly depends upon what time you arrive. We had to park several hundred metres along the road (a lough outside of the non-signposted pay zone) which was only a concern as we just missed the torrential rain storm and more rain was possible for the morning of our departure.

We loved this place where we felt instantly at home due to the friendly staff and lovely vibe. They also take great care over their environmental footprint. The setting, right on the river, is very special; busy during the day but quiet at night. We would definitely return.

Nothing at all. The only thing to note is that there is no parking at the property and you might have to search some minutes’ walk away (7, in our case) during high season to find free parking

Great welcome from all staff. Lovely old building with lots of character. Food was amazing, so good we ate there both nights of our stay. We ate dinner in the garden courtyard which was lovely. Breakfast simple but perfect for us. Great bread and jams, good coffee, delicious orange juice. We ate outside at the front watching the world go by; people, cars, boats, tourist train and even hot air balloons. Bedroom spacious, spotlessly clean and comfy. Great location for exploring the beautiful town of Dinan

Very little to worry about. The bathroom was ok but could do with updating.

We stayed in Dinan in the Old Port area, which we loved. Our room's window was facing the riverside, gorgeous view. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was tasty. And as a bonus this place also has a restaurant, and it was a great find. We had the best oysters and best mussels ever. Strongly recommend.

Our room was upstairs and the stairs were challenging for us, although this should be not a problem for young and strong people.

Wonderful location on the river; rooms had a view. Delicious dinner at the inn. Owner and staff were great. The half-timbered inn is incredibly charming and makes up in charm what it lacks in comfort. It’s walkable — albeit steep — to the old city of Dinan.

Scary narrow winding stairs— don’t bring big suitcases here. No parking; it’s on the street where you can find something; our spot was a half-mile away. Tiny bathroom with no place for towels or toiletries. But it is a very old building.

We arrived a day the hotel was closed. There is a system of key lock to get the keys to got o your room that was all good but I didn’t look into the booking email and phoned them instead. The person on the phone was clearly annoyed, but I thought even if it was their day off they should understand that not everyone is checking the mess rages on booking. If I had received a text on the morning of the booking I would have noticed.

the location at the port was excellent . the town of Dian is beautiful, but sadly we were there on a Sunday, so the restaurant attached to the hotel was closed for dinner but breakfast was lovely. the staff was very helpful and friendly and let us leave our luggage until our room was ready . it was a perfect location if you want to be at the port and had free parking close by .

the location was excellent at the port but it’s a steep long uphill walk to the town( unfortunately we were there on a Sunday when most every store was closed. )

Very nice and quiet location by the river. Simple and clean hotel with stairs to reach your room. Very tasty breakfast by the river! A very nice stay.

Unfortunately the douche siphon was blocked but they repair it immediately after our notice. Parking is quiet away but this is always the problem with the historical cities.
