Location was perfect. We had a very nice stay in the Printania. Our room was wonderful especially with the balcony and sea view. The bed was very comfortable and spotless. The towels soft and great quality. Breakfast was grand and our dinner was delicious. The restaurant staff were professional, friendly and we loved their traditional dress. It suited the hotel. Thank you ladies. Your hotel is perfect as it is and I agree that the decor is old fashioned but very special and much appreciated by us. To sit on the balcony overlooking the harbour was a great joy. A real holiday for us. We would love to return some day.

Nothing really. It was disappointing that you had no parking spot for us when we arrived but it worked out for the best as we found a parking space at the roundabout that was free. This gave us the freedom to hike swim and explore all around beautiful Dinard and Saint Malo without driving. We could see the car from our balcony. I think parking issues could have spoiled our perfect stay but we were lucky.

The decor is olde worlde and attractive. A spacious room with a comfortable bed. The view from the restaurant across the Rance to St Malo is superb. You can reserve a parking place for your car, which is worth doing as parking is difficult around the hotel. There is an excellent, scenic walk around the headland near the hotel, about 1 km long.

There is no lift, so access to most of the rooms involved quite a lot of stairs. The location is not handy for accessing central Dinard by foot. Although you can reserve a parking place it is a 300m walk from the hotel, some of it steep.

Our room was a small twin room with shower room. We were 2 friends sharing the room and it was a bit of a squeeze but we didn’t spend that much time in it. Our view was onto the street but the location was perfect ( there are rooms with a beautiful view on to the harbour)and only a few minutes walk to the sea front. The hotel itself was a bit dated but had a great atmosphere and the staff and other guests great. It seems it’s the sort of hotel that people return to again and again.

The shower room could have been configured better. The breakfast buffet area could have also been laid out better with a bigger area to place your plates and cups whilst choosing your food and pouring drinks.

Our rooms were large and charmingly furnished in traditional French style, with French windows opening to balconies from which we enjoyed outstanding views of the the Rance estuary and the harbours of Dinard and St Malo. Location, right on the small harbour of La Vallée, afforded convenient access to both ferry services across to St Malo, also to the beach at L'Ecluse.

Perhaps a little more variety in the menu choices from day to day. Though the food and restaurant service were excellent.

The room that I had, had a a sea view with a balcony. It was very picturesque. The room was not air conditioned, but was cool.

Whilst the staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful, we did find it was hard work connecting with the staff in the restuarant. There were a couple of occasions where we had to go and find our own condiments, or track down a member of staff to achieve something. Could have done with a bottle of water in the room and perhaps, tea and coffee facilities, though tea and coffee were available downstairs. Breakfast was very basic continental. Quite sufficient, but would have liked slighly more selection.

The hotel was perfectly located , over looking the sea. It had an old worldly charm . The staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t book breakfast but I wished we had as it is served in a charming room overlooking the sea. We booked a car park space which was located in the grounds on an old house a few mins walk from the hotel . I’m glad we booked the space as there isn’t parking near the hotel.

The bed room although very clean and nicely decorated was a little small and the bed was up against a wall making it difficult to get in and out .

Is there a better English word than ‘Traditional’ to describe the ambience at the Printania? I stayed here as a lad 75, yes, 75 years ago and so little - apart from bathroom facilities - seem to have changed, but that’s the charm of the place. If you need ‘Modern’ there’s no shortage of examples elsewhere but the sea view here is delightful, the staff helpful and our evening meal was superb.

OK, it’s a bit of a drag having to walk up to the private car park but if you need to pause, enjoy the view on the way up!

Beautiful room overlooking the sea, but charis shouod be upgraded.

I booked through Bookings.com choosing the mid-price option - room with a view but no balcony. But according to the hotel I paid the price for a room with a balcony which could not be changed. Bookings rates do not match hotel rate and are 30-40% higher. The message is that Bookings is no longer a good deal.

Hotel-Restaurant Printania is a fantastic hotel… 100 years old with all the charm that brings… very friendly & welcoming hostess, very good rooms with very comfortable beds and very good bathroom & shower. Breakfast was also very good, the breakfast/restaurant room was fantastic. Parking was just nearby. We can absolutely recommend the hotel. 👍🏻

Really enjoyed the stay here. A quirky, charming hotel with fantastic old world sensibilities. Location is fantastic. I didnt get to try restaurant for evening or breakfast unfortunately, so cant comment there but the view from the restaurant room is incredible. I hope to be back.
