The hosts were fantastic. Lovely, welcoming and very helpful. They took over the hotel last year and are working very hard to retain the authentic character and to bring that back to the bedrooms. The rooms themselves were spotless and comfortable with good showers and the location couldn't be better for see the historic town. Fantastic value. We stayed one night and our schedule didn't eave time for breakfast or dinner but I heard other guests say the food was excellent.

Nothing worth mentioning really - personally prefer a bed-side lamp for reading than an overhead light if I'm sharing a room but that's just a personal thing. The hosts are working on making the rooms more decorative and suggestive of the hotel history but they were absolutely spotless which mattered more in my mind.

An excellent small family run hotel, in a quiet area of Dinan but only a few minutes walk away from the Old Town and it’s narrow streets. Parking (payable but not expensive) opposite the hotel. Service from everyone working there was excellent and the restaurant food is very good and tasty. When we visit Dinan again in the future we will definitely look to stay here.

No issues with the hotel.

We were very well attended. Because the ground floor is a restaurant, there is always someone around to help when needed. They even gave us another room when we arrived and they thought it would better fit our expectations. Always interested in our plans and we were overloaded with good tips to avoid the crowd on our visits. Funny and "Sympa". We recommend the Restaurant, French cuisine with a surprising touch.

Parking was a bit of a nightmare. Even with suggestions of the owners, it was hard. But we were there in the week of the famous Medieval fair, a lot of parking space was not available. In the end we managed to park in the neigbourhood.

It was a wonderful find. Right in the centre of Dinan and so close to the historic centre of the town. Although there is no parking specifically for the hotel there is a public car park just across the road which is very reasonable. The owner Christof was really friendly and couldn't have been more helpful and he is also an excellent chef. We will definitely return.

The shower curtain was a bit lightweight and there was no rubbish bin for tissues etc in the bathroom. Very minor and did not detract from our stay.

When we arrived at the hotel in Dinan, the hotel was fully booked due to an error in the booking itself. However, those responsible for the hotel were very kind and helpful, and found an immediate solution for us to sleep in a nearby hotel, at no extra cost. We really appreciate all the help provided, promising to return to Dinan to stop by the hotel and restaurant!

A very good location, close to the lively centre but just far enough away to be quiet of a night. Very close to bus services to St Malo and Rennes. Nick, the proprietor, was very helpful with advice on where to visit and a pleasant chap

The property needs a bit of a spruce up. However it is tidy and clean

The staff were friendly . The room was clean . We didn’t have breakfast- but was told it was good . The restaurant- a few tables outside , which was lovely . The menu with plat du jour - excellent . The staff were lovely - spoke good English , and of course French

Nothing not to like

Duchesse Anne is a quirky boutique hotel, an excellent choice in Dinan, being well located for all the sights with easy parking. You will receive a warm welcome here, and enjoy a relaxed atmoshere in the comfortable lounge/restaurant downstairs. The food is excellent, patron and chef Christoph ensures that guests receive his full attention, and the cameraderi among the staff is infectious. We had a 10 day holiday in Brittany and returned 3 times to Duchesse Anne as nowhere else compared.

Very convenient for the centre of Dinan and The Port of Dinan, with excellent bus connections to St Malo and Dinan. Very quiet and peaceful at night, although only 5 minutes from the nightlife area

There was nothing to dislike. The proprietor has only recently took over this hotel. It is a bit dated but the owner has plans to update it

The location of the hotel is fantastic, right in the heart of the town a few steps from all the streets of half timbered houses, with parking opposite. The welcome from Christophe was incredible, what a charming and friendly guy. We ate one evening at the restaurant and had a great meal and lovely wine recommendation. Room was simple, really clean and great value for money. Would definitely stay here again.
