fantastic views - the manager was so accommodating- taxi did not arrive for our restaurant date and due to us missing our slot made a kind gesture to drive us to the nearby restaurant. absolutely fantastic- we would certainly use this hotel again when using the st Malo to Portsmouth ferry - literally less than 10 mins away - it took us 6 mins u can see the ferry from the hotel . staff were a marvel. highly recommend. enjoy

proximity to the beech and wonderful walks around the marina which can also be seen from the hotel - close proximity to a proliféré of eateries and bars . enjoy

The hotel is in an excellent location, near to the Brittany Ferries terminal and free parking. The reception staff were very helpful and provided us with a map and directions to the old town, along with a list of restaurants nearer to the hotel. We had a large ground floor room with a sea-facings terrace.

There was no kettle in the room when we arrived, but the reception team provided one, when asked. The room and breakfast were a little more expensive than we normally pay elsewhere.

The location was superb, the room was large, like being in an apartment. The room facilities were clean, neat, good looking, and two sinks in the bathroom, which is great for a couple. There was a space to park the car. The staff were lovely. It stood out in its location and the location was perfect for exploring the area and accessing eateries.

I’d just like some bacon for breakfast, so a hot food selection, however the breakfast was well done otherwise.

We were happy that finally have selected this hotel, located outside of the old city. There were a lot of free parking slots just in front of the hotel, the view is amazing, rooms are much bigger then a standard in France. You need just 20 min to reach the old city, and there is a very pleasant journey along the sea via the beautiful promenade. The hotel is old, with a nice atmosphere. Hitting works well. Staff speak perfect English. Breakfast is served as a buffet, based on local products. We were very pleased to get a bottle of cider during checkout. No doubts- it is very nice place to stay!

We liked everything

Characterful building, very pretty. Helpful, friendly staff. We had a "small" double room but it was still quite spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Very clean. Good bed! Close to Old Town, good sea views. 5 mins to ferry terminal.

The only downside was the very limited parking, only 5 spaces plus 1 disabled. Whilst there are lots of charge-free spaces on the street outside, there wasn't a single space available. (Luckily, the manager was leaving shortly after we arrived, so he kindly moved to let us use his space.) That was off-season on a Thursday eve in mid-October, so I imagine parking in the summer months must be a real issue. To be fair, this probably applies to most hotels in the area, not just this one.

Location is wonderful , the property is full of character and charming. Parking on site is limited but there is a large free car park literally just outside. The staff were very helpful and friendly and recommended an excellent local restaurant.

Very minor maintenance problems like electric plugs not working and a loose shower head need some attention, but these didn’t detract from a very good experience.

A lovely traditional hotel with plenty of character. Beautiful outlook and great restaurants nearby. Parking available on the street outside if no spaces in the private car park. A nice French breakfast with good hot coffee. Very helpful service from the manager; he called us while en route to give us instructions in case we might arrive after the reception desk was closed and then sent an email through, and also called the restaurant we had booked to advise them of our slightly delayed arrival.

Nothing.

We had a large clean room with a lovely view over the harbour; great sunset! An imposing building in an excellent location 25 mins walk from the City walls, 5 mins drive from the ferry port. Good restaurants nearby also. A very good place for a stop over.

room was great, but the receptionist on check-in was exceptional, very helpful in explaining the facilities in the hotel and offing answers to all my questions including local restaurant suggestions and offering to book if we wanted to

no lighting on staircases so it was tricky to navigate, nothing else springs to mind

The room was spacious with a very wide double bed. The toilet/shower room was also spacious with a good powerful shower. The room had its own door to the outside with a small porch with a table a two chairs from which views of the harbor were to be seen. The man at reception was exceptionally helpful and friendly.

All was good
