Super easy location from the ferry port. Fortunate enough to have found a parking spot right outside which is free. Room and hotel so clean and modernly furnished. Showers were brilliant. Beds really comfortable. Really pay attention to the seagull warning on the window - they aren’t afraid to stick their heads in!

It was perfectly fine for our overnight stop. The rooms are small so wouldn’t have had much room if we were staying longer. We had two interconnecting rooms and are a family of 5.

Proximity to ferry port - about two minutes away Friendly and helpful staff. The lady who was originally from the Ukriane was lovely. She even filled our thermos flasks for us. You can walk to the old town/ramparts from the hotel. It's about a 30 minute walk. There is also a public transport bus service We didn't have breakfast but we wished that we had - it looked very nice. There is a supermarket about ten minutes walk away There is a hair dryer in the bathroom

Shower was very tired. It was clean but the grouting was discoloured and water leaked fom the shower door. It was a bit noisy overall with traffic etc but we liked the way the door to the bathroom is organised so that it can close off the passage overnight. However our door had been damaged and didn't fit very well We would have liked a kettle but it is a budget hotel and the rooms are therefore small. The staff were very happy to fill our mugs with hot water on request. So make sure you have your own mugs and tea bags etc. There is a very small amount of free parking. We had to park on the street. There are paid parking spaces available for 10 euros and 12 euros per night.

Location is alright within walking distance to centre (around 20 min), there is a parking for additional pay straight near hotel, but as you cant reserve a spot before might be a situation that you won`t have where to park it. Breakfast is small but everything that you might need

Room is very small, shower is not comfortable, especially for high people. Beds are not comfortable, too soft for us, but it depends on your preferences.

Great location. Easy to find.

There's a massive hospital and air ambulance landing pad opposite the hotel. I already knew this. The location is reflected in the very fair price. The hospital is noisy at times, especially the helicopter. I do not mind this as the hotel is still very good value which I am certain takes all this into account and the room is double glazed so it's still acceptable. I like the St Malo Ibis Budget for its good location near the Plage de Bas Sablons just a few minute's walk away. I stay here often and will return.

Room was clean and well equipped. We stayed at a time of very hot weather, so the air-conditioning was very useful! It was quiet at night, despite being opposite the hospital, so I slept very well. We were able to park close by (actually, it was in the street, but no problem), and it took about two minutes to get back to your hotel. On our morning of departure we had to leave early to catch the ferry back to England. Your staff very kindly provided the normal breakfast spread at 05.30am, even though it would normally start at 06.00am. This excellent service greatly exceeded our expectations, thank you, ibis! We checked into Gare Maritime du Naye in good time.

Although the hotel name includes the words "Saint Malo Centre", we were a little surprised that it in fact took us about 25 minutes to walk to Intra Muros. And that was at a brisk pace. However, there was no problem to get a taxi back to the hotel after dinner.

Booked for 1 night to catch the morning ferry. Family of 5, with young children; booked 2 rooms. This is an Ibis Budget hotel, so you are not going to get emperor sized beds, pillow choices or a pool. It was perfect for us for one night. Check in easy as paid though Booking.Com. Staff friendly and helpful (they reserved a table a local restaurant for us). Rooms very clean. Excellent aircon with modern easy to use control. We had a bath tub in the 3 person room, but I showered and provided shower gel and towels all perfectly adequate. Continental breakfast buffet great and coffee machine is a top of the range. 5 mins drive to ferry. Felt like we got good value for money. .

Parking facilities are not the best. The hotel has about 10 spaces at the front which were all used. So you probably have to park on the surrounding streets, which was quite easy, but meant a walk back to the hotel. We packed a separate over night bag with minimal needs which was fine, but carting suitcases around the streets could be stressful. Just prepare ahead.

On arrival free parking was not available and was quoted £12 or £16.00 to Park overnight which I did not expect from the description or reviews I read. However as a blue badge holder was able to park in their one disabled place.

We wanted a simple 'base' for 2 nights, after a fortnight's touring in Brittany prior to returning on the car ferry to the UK. It was perfectly located for the ferry terminal at St Malo. It was also within walking distance of the town and the old town, so we spent all our time wandering the streets, browsing in shops, stopping for coffee, sampling local cuisine and walking the ramparts. The wide sandy beaches look very inviting and there are many safe swimming areas. The Ibis Budget is good value for money, with safe parking and surprisingly quiet at night. The room is very basic but as the bed was comfortable and the room was clean, we were satisfied. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel as it was the simple vending type of thing. But ideal for anyone off to the ferry port early in the morning! The staff were helpful and spoke English.

The window would not stay open in our room and on a particularly warm evening, I used my paperback book to wedge the window open. Although not the hotel's fault at all, I couldn't believe my eyes when a seagull flew down, landed on the window ledge and stole my book, flying off with it before I could stop it! So, beware of seagulls in St Malo and use the air-con instead!

Helpful staff, willing to speak clear french to me. Attractive room. Pleasant morning walk to the shops.

Had to walk to the hotel from the ferry, and from the hotel to the train station , as there were no taxis/ not possible to book a taxi. Seems a longer walk when you have baggage.

We stopped here on Bastille day the evening before getting the ferry back to the Uk. The hotel is outside the walled City so away from the main tourist area and so we avoided all the hassle of restricted access, getting luggage to hotel, busy roads, no local parking etc which we have suffered before. Some good seafood restaurants about 20 mins walk away, and 5 mins drive to the Ferry port, so a really great location. Very good breakfast. The hotel is 'basic' but you get what you pay for and its fine for an overnight stop. It's clean, the beds are comfortable and overall it's good value. There is very little parking at the Hotel, but there is a 'loading/unloading' area for luggage, and some easily reached free parking (off the road) about 300m up the road from the hospital.

Nothing; for the money it was absolutely fine
