Location of this seafront hotel is excellent. In a quiet area whilst being just a short walk from St. Malo’s bustling centre. Members of staff were outstanding. Brilliant breakfast!

We would love to return to Oceania but parking is a concern. Our car is too high for the hotel’s underground car park. As it happened we were most fortunate for a car parking space to become available immediately outside of the hotel. On a positive note, street parking is very affordable - 4€ per day. The offering of light snacks for lunch/evening would be a useful addition.

We chose the Oceania for an overnight stay at the beginning of a 2 week holiday travelling across France. The hotel room was very well designed, with a balcony and with a superb view of the beach. Its location is ideal for us, being close to the ferry terminal, and it is also ideally positioned for visits to the old walled city of St Malo. The experience was so good, we booked another night at the end of our holiday! We would certainly like to visit the hotel again for a longer visit in the near future.

The tea and coffee making facilities in the room could be improved. For the quality of the hotel, we would expect china cups, rather than the small paper cups provided.

Stunning sea view from the Escape Suite, which also includes a very large and comfortable bed as well as a large, well equipped bathroom with shower and jacuzzi bath. The pool and spa area is very modern and pleasant, and like the room was immaculately clean. There is a short walk to the marvellous old town, which is fascinating to walk around and features plenty of pretty sights and fantastic places to eat, drink, and shop. The hotel's secure underground parking is worthwhile for convenience and peace of mind, but the local area and car parks feel safe and secure regardless. All the staff I met were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and have recommended Oceania to friends and family.

Very good location. Staff efficient and friendly. Good facilities. Great for access to intra mures and its facilities and very good for my runners who loved the beach, views and runs to the other end and round the walls. Pleasant spa.

Because it is close to the citadel the hotel tends to die at night and there is not much going on. The odd night of a guitarist or something else might help? Just a thought. Parking was a tad expensive.

First of all, location! Just minutes outside the old city walls. Right on the ocean. Our room was facing the ocean and it was a lovely room. The bed was comfortable. Our room was a good decent size with a good size bathroom/shower. Counter space for toiletries was adequate too. There is no restaurant on site but there is a room service menu we used for a meat and cheese plate. There was parking under the hotel if you have a car which we did so that was a nice plus. The breakfast bar provided a good variety of choices in the morning. over all we had a great stay.

Location close to St. Malo old town and also to ferry port.

Toilet separate from bathroom is a pain especially as there is no sink in toilet room. Bathroom has no space to place toiletry bag anywhere. Glass wall between bathroom and room doesn’t leave for any privacy. Given that the room is for two people there should be two hooks in the bathroom so that both guests can hang up their towels. Check-in time 16:00 is a bit late and as a result of that it was almost impossible to find a parking space during busy holiday times. Although there is meant to be parking onsite, reception stated that their parking was full.

The room was very nice, large and well laid out. The bathroom was very nice and bed was really comfortable. The balcony overlooking the beach was a nice touch. The hotel was located really close to the old city which was a bonus.

We arrive by Ferry from Guernsey, later in the evening and the inhouse restaurant was closed. Would have been nice if there had been some food available either in the room or at the bar.

Staff at front desk were lovely and really helpful e.g. lent personal charger and gave restaurant recommendation and made booking. Waiter in bar was very polite and efficient. Decor looks good. Spa was nice after a long drive.

Breakfast could have been better. Limited range available and quality could have been better. Having only one coffee machine working when there are lots of people at breakfast was unhelpful.

The location was great close to historic centre. The staff were friend and helpful. We upgraded to the ocean view room which was spacious, large balcony comfortable and great views

Disappointing to have paper cups for coffee not really expected or ideal for a 4 star hotel. The privilege room with balcony is particularly small considering cost, limited space and balcony is very very close to neighbouring room felt very uncomfortable so we upgraded our room

Breakfast good.

Reservation said they would take a deposit to check card. They actually freeze the full payment plus a daily estimate. This made me feel untrusted. The cocktail bar is not used enough. We tried only to find there was no ice or lemon for a gin and tonic. It could be a profit centre for the hotel. There is a shortage of storage in the bedroom. We had to keep most of our clothes in the suitcases.
