We went there on our wedding anniversary after weekend of celebration in Burgundy. At arrival we met a great in room SPA grotto. We had lots of fun and my wife didn’t want to leave anymore once we set eyes on the beautifully arranged honeymoon cave.

Safety, communication and complaint handling. They forgot to turn on the automatic exhaust fan. This I only realized when waking up around two o’clock at night and put it on as indicated in the instruction mail. I aired the room leaving the cave door open but couldn’t sleep until a few hours later and therefore missed half of our wedding anniversary, just getting up in time for the checkout. When mentioning the ordeal, it was pointed out that it was all my fault: a) I should have called them at 2 AM (offsite); b) I didn’t read their message before arriving c) I should’ve told them I got closed room anxiety (which I don’t if it’s properly aired; d) the owner doubts that she forgot to put on the automatic exhaust van (OMG!); e) there were multiple other aircon tech in the room so I should’ve had slept well; f) the customers before us always slept well when turning off the van because of its loud noise (maybe they had it on during jacuzzi and sauna time during the day to clear the humid sticky air); e) I should’ve read the info and not called them to find a place to have take-away in the evening (which they were kind enough to provide but unfortunately were useless cause none of them provided take-away asked for); f) I should’ve read have followed their advice reserving a starred fine-dining (3km away, which we didn’t feel like doing, arriving only in the evening and not knowing the place; g) I should’ve prebooked breakfast 24 hours in advance (which I didn’t because it was mentioned only that it needed to be reserved in advance but not that this couldn’t be done upon arrival (same for the charcuterie plate as evening snack). Worst start into a wedding anniversary in 20 years of love. Luckily we don’t let these things get us down and we still had a splendid day. But the experience showcased extremely skilled dismissal of guest feedback and horrible complaint handling. It completely ruined the experience.
