Room was attractive, modern, clean and a great size. Comfortable beds. Great to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room, and somewhere to refill water bottles. We enjoyed having a balcony in the early morning (regrettably, not so great later in the day due to the traffic). Hotel is in a great location for the beach, restaurants and cafés etc. and is within a 30 minute walk to the old centre of Hendaye where there is an excellent market. We liked having the pool as an extra option when the waves were particularly large. We had an infestation of ants in our room the first night, but this was sorted out rapidly and effectively when we reported it the next morning.

Pity that the street outside the hotel is not as calm and residential as it first appears: after mid morning there was a constant stream of cars trying to find a parking space, and the resulting fumes made sitting on the balcony unpleasant. Thankfully, it was quiet after dark. The young men at reception could make more of an effort to be welcoming and helpful.

The rooms and all shared spaces were so beautifully decorated. The pool was clean, although the sunbeds could be replaced, but the pool area was so lovely. The cleaning staff were exceptional. Thank you we had a wonderful holiday.

The breakfast could be better, maybe just stick to continental, but what was there was very tasty.

The hotel is located on the border between France and Spain in a wonderful location on the edge of the ocean. We arrived late in the evening at the train station and could not find a taxi. We called the hotel and they immediately helped us and ordered a taxi for us. The room was exceptionally clean and pleasant, as was the breakfast, and above all, the service was excellent.

The only thing, it is difficult to get to and out of the hotel without a car and the taxis were expensive.

Wonderful welcome to an amazing hotel. Our room was spacious, clean & comfortable with wonderful and amazing shower room. We had a lovely balcony with a view of the road & marina which was great, nobody looking in & lots to look at. The car parking was excellent, slightly more expensive than we’d thought but worth it. The staff were so friendly & helpful.

We expected to be able to check-in around 2.30 p.m. but this was not possible. This is because check-out is 12.00 so it is completely understandable that new guests cannot check-in until 3.00 p.m.

I had previously visited Hendaye on a school trip 57 years ago and was keen to re-visit with my wife of 50 years. To quote her, “Of all the hotels we have stayed in throughout the world this has been one of the best and I know why you were keen to re-visit this City.” The breakfast at the hotel was very French and my kind of ‘le petite dejourney’ A lovely visit bringing back some childhood memories buried deep in my past, the hotel was just the icing on the cake.

The weather was very different to how I remember the South of France but hey it was November and the hotel paid no part in this!

Parked on the street and went into reception to check out secure parking. Receptionist was friendly and chatty. Allocated room 209. Secure parking was easy, just drive in past reception to the garage, swipe your room card and the door opens. Easy access to the room via the lift. Perfect as we had our 2 dogs with us. The room was spotless and cosy with a lovely view of the harbour and pool. Very comfortable bed. Wifi is free and good.  Lovely hot rain shower and quality toiletries. They do serve breakfast but we didn't partake. £111 for the night including dogs and parking, very good value. Will stay again.

Unfortunately the coffee machine in the room didn't work, we only found out in the morning as we wanted a quick coffee before we left. Reported it at reception as we checked out. No bar or restaurant. TV is not a smart TV so couldn't screen share from my phone. Strange as the hotel has just been refurbished and everything is new.

The room was well appointed and had a spacious balcony. The location was excellent between the beach and marina. Close to restaurants etc. the pool was really nice.

The gym was a bit of a joke. The weights were leather pouches, the running machine looked down right dangerous. Apart from this it was a great place.

Wonderful four-star place half a block away from the beach. Clean quiet time, huge bed, big bathroom. Very attentive, personable staff: during breakfast, a big group of Austrian motorbikers were "entertaining" the whole room, but the receptionist intervened within minutes. Amazing breakfast which will set you back some money but it's worth every Euro.

Newly renovated hotel in a great location close to the beach, restaurants and the ferry to Hondarribia. Friendly helpful staff. Spotlessly clean room with comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast, although the second day they had run out of some things when I went at 8.30am.
