The location is on top of the mountain of La Clusaz, which offers access to beautiful starry sky at night, awesome mountain views, and herds of cows and sheep or goats. We are nature lovers and nature artists, so we spent our time hiking on the mountain trails, strolling around the lake, and interacting with those cows and sheep, listening to the symphony played by the cow and sheep bells, while closely observing and getting inspired by the beauty of nature. Aside from the mountain top location, the host offered transport to the village, where we enjoyed the hospitality of those friendly shop and restaurant owners. Though we visited off the ski season, the much fewer crowds gave us a chance to freely visit whatever corner we loved and felt like embracing the entire ski resort by me and my husband only, especially when we bathed in the outdoor jacuzzi, seeing the mountain and the sky, feeling warm in our body but actually surrounded in cool air. The only suggestion we have is that gourmet catering or dining service can complement it to the fullest extent. However, if you like to enjoy a family getaway, the suite we stayed in offers all the appliances for family activities, where you can cook and do the laundry. Besides, the bed and the couch are very cozy and the interior comes in great taste.

We like it so much that we are actually planning to go back during ski season. The only thing lacking is good food and good wine. Maybe a more informative map is something good. We actually obtained a very informative map from the local tourist information office in the village. Upon viewing the map, we just realized we stayed in the best hotel that was within walking distance to the lake and plenty of hiking trails, where we can take in all of the nature, feeling refreshed.

Sara brought us a lovely breakfast with fresh made jam and ham, the view is amazing from the jacuzzi. Lovely people who brought us to a restaurant with their buggy. Very friendly and the room is beautiful

everything came at an extra charge, little explanation on the room (I.e. how to work the fire, how to work the coffee machine which was unusual), sinks are very small so hard to wash up, no paper towels or other cleaning supplies, ski-in ski-out not available due to lack of snow

To the rear of the room (unable to view without going to the back of the property) is a beautiful mountain view

Most things 1. The lady who came to check us in - due to her ‘bad English’ told me I should stay at home if I am not willing to stay at a property that is public 2. I sent a message early on in the day of checking in that we will be late in arriving. I was sent details on how to enter the building but not code to the main gate which was locked 3. The so called hot tub this chalet has which is ‘not attached to the room’ is situated ; walking out of the chalet + down the stairs through the main entrance + through the main car park + into a public area that is shared by other guests + in your bathrobe . Which I think should be very clearly explained as just saying non attached to the room is a bit of a misleading statement 4. Appaling no internet 5. The rooms open to another hotel overlooking at you so it’s not really ideal to open your room windows unless you are a into showmanship- there is no privacy glass or privacy curtains to the main bedroom
