Our stay at the chateau couldn’t have been more perfect. The Chateau was charming and peaceful. The hosts had perfectly preserved the essence and beauty of the Chateau, it was like we had travelled back in time. While keeping the authenticity of the original place, the bathrooms had modern touches and were super clean. The beds were comfortable and the hosts were nice enough to provide a cot for our baby. The breakfast was also superb and the hosts were kind enough to arrange the breakfast outside per our request. Everything was perfect and magical. Don’t think twice before staying here.

There was a big stuffed bear behind the toilet which was a bit spooky. I think it should be placed elsewhere.

The chateau was absolutely everything we hoped for. Set in beautiful countryside, the Château has been tastefully renovated with large comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, all spotlessly clean. We ordered the picnic baskets which were full of delicious home made food including quiche and local cheeses which we ate in the courtyard. We had an excellent breakfast with homemade Jams. The hosts were both welcoming and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We can’t wait to return.

Gorgeous property and fantastic hosts. We enjoyed the beautiful baskets for dinner in the courtyard and then had a lovely breakfast waiting for us when we started the next day. The atmosphere is so relaxing and quiet. Denis gave great suggestions for activities and we enjoyed a swim in the bathing area in the nearby river. The fairy walk in the forest was enjoyed as well. A very special experience. highly recommend.

Catherine and Denis were so welcoming and the thought, hard work and imagination they have put into this place is exceptional! The bedrooms were huge and the interior design was unique, quirky and so right for the place. Our daughters felt like princesses staying in such a well thought out Chateau. If you do stay allow yourself plenty of time to see the grounds and you'll need a couple of hours to do the treasure hunt they have there. We will be back to explore the grounds and this wonderful chateau some more!

Nothing! It rained, but that's nothing to do with the chateau. We still enjoyed the gardens (if a little wet) and the chateau was amazing!

This was such a beautiful building; enhanced by the friendliness of the hosts Denis and Catherine. We would have loved to spend a little more time here to explore the amazingly creative world created here, with loads of imaginative touches throughout the rooms and the wider grounds of the property.

Beautiful,unique,quirky chateau in the countryside.we absolutely loved our stay!the owners were so pleasant and welcoming.the food baskets were delicious, room just fabulous, lovely walks in the woods for exploring, breakfast in the courtyard..just everything was amazing.couldn’t ask for more ☺️

I can’t think of one negative. It was 10/10 without doubt.

Great rural location not far from the motorway. Stunning property off the beaten track, extremely welcoming and friendly hosts. Our room was accessed by a spiral stone stair case and carved wooden door. A huge bedroom and fantastical bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable, one of the best nights sleeps we'd ever had. All of which were spotlessly clean. We ordered dinner @ 30 euros pp for 3 courses preceded by tapenade and batons of carrots. Everything was homemade and the produce sourced locally. This also included a glass of local wine that was soo good we bought the bottle. The weather being good we ate in the courtyard all the time wondering if the musketeers were going to make an appearance through the big iron gated entrance. There are beautiful rural grounds to walk around where you can search out fairy tale scenes. It was a real shame we were only staying one night. To be honest we didn't want to leave at all! Breakfast was another outstanding meal, with home baked bread, homemade preserves (elderflower conserve was amazing) yoghurt and pastries, oh! and home made muffins - flour sourced locally. My wife who has previously worked as a health and safety executive for a high end tour operator and has subsequently travelled the world inspecting hotels/complexes and villas said "This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in" I second that ! Attention to detail, relaxing and just the right amount of attentiveness. Outstanding.

Having to leave..

The breakfast was good which was produced locally . Dinner was good too and it is advisable to have it as looking at other restaurants nearby aren’t that enticing. They are Very helpful in giving instructions to find the place otherwise if you don’t follow it you’ll certainly get lost.

Location was a little farther than I thought. The shower/bathtub is not practical though aesthetically it looks nice. Water splashes out onto the floor making it difficult to shower properly. It needs a plastic surround to use it so prevents water getting onto the floor.

What a special experience- we wish we’d booked for more than a night. It’s a really beautiful house which has been restored by Denis & Catherine. The food is wonderful - both the evening “picnic” & breakfast were generous much of which was home grown / made. We were a family cycling the Flow Velo - well worth the detour.
