The location and setting were both lovely, The interior most restful and elegant with a wonderful veranda / terrace. The exterior, set in a park with lakes and ducks, even a heron and beautiful mature specimen trees is very lovely. The Dinner menu was excellent also the breakfast was a delight. We every much enjoyed our stay.

On a technical level the ensuite bathroom was cramped, beautifully decorated with unique tiles and taps but a little to"quirky". The lavatory and door arrangement into the ensuite left too little privacy, the ensuite door became the lavatory door which was weird? The walls dividing the ensuite from the bedroom area did not go all the way to the ceiling. The sink / bath taps arrangements looked terrific but were in fact clumsy to operate

A quirky start: the rooms are all individually themed, and we were in Jules Verne, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea! That being said, it was extremely comfortable and well-equipped. We ate dinner with friends in the hotel's Michelin Star restaurant, and that was a wonderful experience, well worth the price. Breakfast was also excellent. Staff were delightful, very friendly and helpful. There is an indoor pool and spa. The hotel is based around an historic house, which has been sensitively extended. It is situated in beautiful grounds, with a lake and lots of trees. A delightful place for a walk, and very peaceful, despite being close to the motorway.

Nothing, it was altogether perfect!

We stayed here once before and was very impressed by the restaurant and the hotel itself. So when we had the opportunity to come back we took it. The hotel itself is nicely laid out with a great garden and pond. The staff are very relaxed and welcoming. The rooms are individually decorated. It's also close to the autoroute. We had planned to take an evening meal and it was as exceptional as before. We took it outside overlooking the duck pond. Breakfast is ordered in advance and served at your table which is a nice change from the standard buffet. It is of course a French breakfast but with little touches like freshly squeezed juice and a good supply of coffee in individual thermos flasks. If you are just looking for a quick overnight then you will be missing out by not taking your time to enjoy the food and comfort.

Breakfast was very good.

Restaurant service was very slow due to party booking. We sat outside waiting for someone to take our order for drinks before dinner no one came after 20 minutes. We had to go and ask and waited another 25 minutes after we ordered our drinks. We were given menus and waited a long time over 30 minutes before trying to find some one to take our order No apologies were given for slow service. Once we were seated in the restaurant the food we had was excellent. It was disappointing that the beginning of our evening was spoilt with slow service and no apologies. Shower in bathroom was not very powerful and slow with a dribble of water. Would good if power showers were available.

Great value. Comfortable stay. Friendly staff. The room was clean and relaxing. Although the room next door was occupied, we didn’t hear a thing. Plenty of parking and a beautiful garden. We had both breakfast and dinner and both were great. We will definitely stay here again.

One night we came back around 11 pm. For some reason the shower water was not hot but it was just once. We had plenty of hot water other times.

A very impressive hotel set in beautiful grounds. On arrival we were impressed - through a gated entrance up a drive to a spacious secure car park. There was a row of Tesla chargers for those those with electric vehicles. The gardens were beautiful and we enjoyed a wander past the large ponds with swans and ducks. We made use of the swimming pool which was well presented and had good changing facilities. All the rooms have names and ours was 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. Whoever had designed the room was very talented and we enjoyed it’s features - we took several photos. The room had an electric shutter, air conditioning, remote control lights and a fridge - the only thing we would have liked was tea/coffee facilities. There was a high end restaurant on site. Overall very impressive.

Beautiful old building with many quirky features. Our bedroom had been tastefully renovated to include original features. The grounds were lovely and just right for walking the dog. Although the restaurant was closed that night, there was a simple menu available which was delicious. Breakfast was again to order and came in linen clad baskets served to the table. The bathroom was very small but for one night it didn’t matter. Super friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was easily found off the motorway.

The hotel is a transformed and expanded old farmhouse. The guest rooms have been build on former farmland. The transfomation has been done with style and respect for the socio-economic and cultural character of the area. The entrance lane makes is a time capsule that makes one return to the beginning of the 20th. century. The indoor pool and the garden terraces looked lovely, but the January weather did not allow us to really enjoy them. The rooms were spacious

Dinner choices were limited,, but the excellent wine list compensated for that. The menu's had a French touch but they were not really 'creative' and lacked some refinement. If the idea was to serve the guests dishes as they used to be prepared in this rural area, then is was a joI well done. The bathroom lacked a ceiling. it was just next to the sleeping area, So at night, when one went to the bathroom and turned on the light, the bathroom lights also illuminated the sleeping room, which was not alway appreciated by my partner. Just outside the entry gate, there was a busy hypermarket and departmentstore space.

Excellent location, close to motorway yet very quiet and feels secluded. Large car park away from the main drag. Beautiful surroundings, the park around the hotel is superb. Friendly efficient staff. Very nice breakfast. Enjoyed my swim in the indoor pool after a day's drive. Will definitely stop there again if the occasion arises.

Fabulous meal in the restaurant, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with the option to have it brought to your room. Beautiful grounds to walk in with lakes. Comfortable bed.Great location for an overnight stop, just off the motorway.

The room was a bit dark due to the lack of a window but we were able to open the blind on the door which led to an outdoor patio area. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which would have been nice.
