Large beautifully modernised and very comfortable bedrooms, that are very quiet. The restaurant is genuinely superb and provides some unique takes on French dishes.

There’s quite a steep hill/steps outside to get to the rooms, which was fine for us; but would be difficult for anyone with reduced mobility. The parking is either on the road immediately outside or if no spaces are available there, there are 2 car parks ~200m away - which both seemed very safe.

Great atmosphere in this very typical village and hotel. The rooms were very unconventional, with a mezzanine which gives a lot of character to them. The breakfast was good and definitely excellent value for money.

we had to walk up a steep path to access the rooms. so be aware of this if you have challenges walking up and down steep paths, stairs. The ladder to access the beds in the mezzanine is very steep and quite high. There was no parking space in the street in front of the hotel. we parked on a parking place further away in a kind of park.

Lovely bedroom with comfortable bed.

Not a problem but the hotel was closed on Monday when we arrived so picked our room key up from a key safe by the front door. The restaurant was closed so there was no communal area to sit. We drove to Langeais to a restaurant recommended by the hotel which was excellent. We have eaten in the hotel restaurant when it is open and that is also excellent.

Set in a beautiful little village near the Loire, Le XII is a fantastic boutique hotel. The bedroom wasn’t huge but light, airy, exceptionally clean with a very comfortable larger bed. The bathroom was large and immaculately appointed. We ate in the restaurant. What a truly elegant experience. The food was creative and different - not huge portions but delicious. The maitre d’ was extremely welcoming and attentive without being overly obtrusive; the wine waiter treated his job as an art and is a real asset; the young waitress was also exceptionally well versed in her role. What an absolutely delightful evening.

One minor point, which we had already addressed in advance, but it would be good to have tea/coffee making facilities and bottled water in the bedroom. Also, Wi-Fi is intermittent.

The extra wide bed was much appreciated, as was also the easy street parking outside the hotel for 1 1/2 hours with disk from 9 a.m. Quiet. An excellent restaurant too. Luynes is interesting to walk around.

À WC separate from the bath/shower room, a little unhygienic without its own washbasin? But not a major point.

The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable with a spacious en suite with an amazing looking spa bath which we didn’t have time to use.

We stayed on a Monday so the reception wasn’t open ( we picked our room key up from a key safe by the front door) and the restaurant was closed which meant we felt a bit detached from our stay. We have stayed on a different night before and the restaurant is excellent and staff very friendly.

This is a beautiful property in a lovely sleepy village with the most fantastic restaurant which is an experience in itself. A destination restaurant!

Access isn’t the easiest. Very steep hill to climb to get to rooms so difficult with luggage and not for those with mobility issues.

Lovely room. Staff very hospitable and made sure we were comfortable. Great location for visiting chateaus in Loire Valley. Lovely restaurant on site. Great bakery across the road.

Parking was quite a distance from the hotel.

Beautiful room and great location in gorgeous village. Lovely staff. Quiet and clean. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was the best we've ever had in France. Would love to go back.

Despite being careful to fill the spa bath above the water spouts, it still squirted water up and out of the bath. Be very careful if you choose to use it.

Beautifully refurbished boutique hotel in the centre of town with a great breakfast.

Originally booked the hotel to sample the gourmand menu, only to be emailed a couple of days before arrival to say the restaurant was going to be closed due to a "holiday". It transpired that as all the restaurants in Luynes are closed on a Monday, we had to drive elsewhere. Had we been informed earlier, we would have arranged to stay the following day.
