The hotel location, exterior, public spaces and our room were all stunning, a beautiful hotel in a perfect position overlooking a pretty park.

The reception area was awkward to walk through to get to our room, usually through the narrow reception space to enter, sometimes we could walk through the restaurant, if the restaurant wasn't busy. The breakfast wasn't good for us, location in the back room was odd and a walk from the table. The food selection was ok but not the best for the hotel. The cost for our light breakfast of cereal, toast and tea was extremely high and the service was distant. Some of the hotel staff were very nice, some quite reserved.

As a gift to myself, I stayed in the hotel for almost 2 weeks! There are so many things to like--the interior decor, the size of rooms, decadent bathrooms (with prestige toiletries), extremely comfortable bed, location in best part of Montpellier. But, I'll never forget the kindness of the staff. Everyone from reception, housekeeping, restaurant, bartenders and valets was smiling, charming and friendly. Each person was a pleasure to speak with and really made me feel I was at home.

A few things minor suggestions: 1. For the price (nearly $400/night), breakfast should be included. More vegan options would be welcome. 2. A private entrance. Walking through the reception and/or restaurant is tedious. 3. A common lounge/sitting area for guests would be welcome too.

Everything. Adrian was so helpful, professional and welcoming. Dinner was fabulous and we especially appreciated the later check out to enable us to see the Beaux Arts Museum on Tuesday morning (it was closed on Monday when we planned our visit). This is truly s luxury 5 star hotel and well worth it. We recommend it and will be back.

Service was perfect! Hotel is perfect, beautiful! Perfection! I am most gratefull for wonderfull service of Adrian, who was more than helpfull and welcoming. I was more than impressed by kindness and highest level of service he provided. I would love to visit again when I am in Montpellier.

We loved the location of this hotel. It is in a pedestrian area of the old city. The valet staff was completely helpful with the car and our luggage, thus the pedestrian only area made it even more charming. We enjoyed how intimate and comfortable it was. The staff is simply completely pleasant and helpful!! We had dinner in the restaurant there and it was spectacular! This is the place to go when wanting to go to the old-town area of Montpellier.

Beautiful renovated hotel in a wonderful location. Excellent bar and restaurants. The staff were lovely, the room was exceptional. The art throughout the hotel phenomenal. The bar has to be one of the most beautiful bars I’ve been in.

It was perfect.

This hotel is honestly one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. Historic building beautifully updated with exceptional service. Two great restaurants with an outdoor seating area right on a quaint isolated peaceful square. The location is walking fantastic. Right in the middle of everything and everything is just a walk away.

We arrived by TGV and had a car pick us up at the train station. The hotel is located in a beautiful area designated as a pedestrian area and car access is limited. Our car didn't have access so we had to walk a block toting our luggage. This is our fault and definitely not the hotels. The hotel actually reached out to us ahead of time to arrange a train station pick up but I declined because we had already booked a car. DEFINITLY book you car through the hotel because that car has access to the area and will drop you off right in front of the hotel.

Exceptional hotel! From the moment you arrive it’s 5 star service, off the charts valet team, perfection of the room, the bed is incredible with high quality sheets, duvet and mattress, the restaurants in the hotel are off the chart delicious, you do not want to leave the hotel when you’re being spoiled here…..and the list continues for this luxurious experience. Absolutely an Exceptional Hotel! Thank you to the fabulous team!

The hair dryer needs an update. It was a bit painful to hold down the power button- a long annoying process before going out which otherwise would be enjoyed in the beautiful vanity area.

Location is in the historic center of Montpellier, everything done by foot! Beautiful building, nicely renovated. Breakfast was high quality, not too much selection. Room felt really like a home away from home. Friendly service. Had two very good options for dine in.

sometimes communication was a bit difficult, since some of the staff doesn't speak English to well.

The Staff were warm, friendly and couldn’t do enough to help us. The room was stunning and in immaculate condition. The bar was beautiful and the whole hotel had a fabulous atmosphere
