Absolutely fantastic location and very beautifully furnished hotel right in the heart of Montpellier. Our check in was wonderful with Grace who provided lots of information and we were also in time for afternoon tea with a delicious lemon cake. The room was lovely, just a little noisy with the busy city overnight but that's to be expected in such a great location to the city centre. The Comedie parking lot is close by and very affordable ($20 euro overnight) but is a 3-5 minute walk so if you have large bags, be mindful of this. Everything was wonderful and we loved our time in Montpellier. Thank you Grace :)

A lovely hotel in a great location: turn left and in a few minutes you're in Place de la Comédie (the centre of Montpellier); turn right and you're close to Montpellier-Saint-Roch main rail station. Ideal. The breakfast is adequate and served in a lounge behind the reception desk on the ground floor. All the staff were great. Afternoon tea in the British style seemed a bit staid, I must admit, and I had my reservations about it. In fact, though, this was a good way to have a free, pleasant treat of tea and cake with other guests, and useful for those not eating dinner until much later.

My room was fine: really comfortable and with a great view down onto the street. It lacked a fridge / freezer, though. I wasn't expecting an unnecessary mini-bar, but a cool space is essential for each room during the many months when Montpellier is hot.

We loved the location and the hotel.

We had one problem as we accidentally broke glass in our room and let the front desk staff know. They said it would be cleaned up - we couldn’t do this without a vacuum. They said it was but it wasn’t done well so we keep finding big pieces of glass and we ended up with one family member with a sliced foot. Staff seemed indifferent when we told them. Great place to stay, but for sure the staff don’t want to go above and beyond.

The location is very close to the centre train stationa and the old town. It is very easy to explore. The staff are very friendly and also the hotel welcomes pet and provide pet facilities which is a bonus.

Our room is located on the ground floor however the room is not too sound proved. I was woken up every day by the noise in the corridor and the breakfast room. The AC makes a bit of noise too. If you are very sensitive to noise it may be better for a room on the upper floor.

Excellent location, beautifully comfy beds, quiet, clean, delicious breakfast. I love the staff.

We met a Very friendly and welcoming woman at reception! She got us into our room early when we certainly we not expecting this! Thank you! We had a clean comfortable room and bed. Great location near the train station and very close to central Montpellier shopping areas and cafes. Very Large comfortable room. Shower/sink and toilet in separate rooms with doors to each area. Water bottles and kettle and tea in room. We enjoyed returning to the hotel for coffee and cake between 1600-1800 hrs. Very generous of the hotel!

Our room was on the 1st floor so we could hear the traffic on the street outside our window - especially accelerating motorcycles as they sped by. Ear plugs helped me sleep soundly. The small toilet chamber had a strong odor of urine which we mentioned to the reception - apparently it is an issue related to the foundation of the building...so perhaps not an issue on upper floors.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful, which I appreciated as a solo female traveller. The young lady at breakfast, very kindly provided brown sugar each morning unprompted, after my initial request on the first morning of my 4 night stay! Perfect location, for sightseeing in Montpellier and also access to the train station. Very spacious room/ensuite; I slept well during my stay. Liked the view from my window. Enjoyed the complimentary tea and cake in the afternoon.

I thought the bathroom needed an update. I understand this is something that is planned.

Super friendly staff, the concierges, the cleaners and the servers at breakfast as well. I felt at home, everything is easy and my dog was welcomed to the breakfast room so they are a real pet friendly hotel. Amazing modern style decor: paintings without paintings, a king monkey statue overseeing the coffee, a cotton candy pink Pomerania picture.. and many other treasures 🤩 A plus: 1 bottle of water for free 🙂 Breakfast is good in taste, but the quality-price ratio is not that great as there’s not much choice. The lemon cake though was so spongy and tasty I could’ve had the whole! The room and the bathroom are excellent. A super plus plus plus: the towels have the finest quality. Thick, white and soft 🔝 Great location, but be aware of the homeless people everywhere in the center of Montpellier.

The front staff were amazing, we arrived tired and hungry, they helped us get settled quickly. They later helped us with considerable local knowledge, restaurants, trolley, sights to see. During a rainy day they helped me find a close meal, and helped me bring it to my room. Marine, Grace, Jean-Felix and Rosalie, thank you for making our stay memorable. Also, continental breakfast was fresh and good.

The physical condition of the hotel reflects the passage of many years.

The property was extremely well located just off the Place de la Comédie. Safe, underground parking was available in the car park on the square with a reduced rate as guests of the hotel. The boutique hotel has been beautifully restored and is clean and contemporary with chic, modern bathrooms. Breakfast was varied and fresh with gluten free bread provided for our coeliac daughter. We stayed in a family room with one king sized bed and one large double pull out bed. Staff were warm and friendly with good English.
