My stay at the Hôtel Colisée-Verdun Centre Gare Saint-Roch was quite pleasant. I couldn't complain the service. The staff were attentive and friendly and made me feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them. One thing I really appreciated was the room. It was spotless, peaceful and crisp bed sheets. Also, it's cheap and in a convenient, central location, near the train station and the Place de la Comédie, which is the most important square in the city.

The only truly annoying thing was that the toilet was outside the room.

I liked the friendliness of the staff and the location of the hotel. The room had everything I needed. Although small, everything was in place and clean.

I didn't like the fact that there were no shade curtains in my room, which meant that at night the street lights made the room bright as well. It was difficult to sleep like that. I could only find one power socket in my room, very far from the bed, which was a bit inconvenient.

Location is good. Staff were friendly and had tourist maps. Aircon and wifi in the room worked well. They let you store your luggage at reception when you check out. Balcony is nice,

The toilet for the shared rooms is communal for your floor. Honestly not too big of an issue, I never had to wait to use it. The shower for your room is in the room itself.

The hotel was superbly located. The lift was reliable. The quick breakfast formula was very convenient, The concierge was most serviceale specially the man who is very knowledgeable in philosophy and most hamanitarian and always at hand to help.

Drinking water, coffee maker or boiling kettle and safe not available in the room. A stand for the luggage! Plan of the town not provided.

Accepting that this is a small and old budget hotel next to a main railway station. The very small room was quiet, even with the balcony door open and spotlessly clean with a nice rooftop view. AIR CON available. The "in room" shower was also spotless and the water was quickly hot (water pressure a little low) Location great for attractions and everything really. Breakfast was very decent for the price. The guy on the desk who served the breakfast, could have cleaned the table from the last patrons before I arrived. (He wasn't busy and been a little more cheerful) But THAT is the only small criticism I have.

The hotel is located very close to the central station; friendly receptionist gave me a choice of room (with/without balcony). The room was comfortable with a sink and shower but the toilet was shared, little balcony with a table and chairs was lovely.

Noise: the windows aren't shieldind enough against noise. In the night you can hear some partygoers (not too bad, though). In my rating I didn't consider the temporary tram-track works that make noise from very early in the morning (should be finished by the end of August). The AC is quite loud, too. To use an electrical plug in the room we had to unplug the TV and hang the mobilephone to charge it.

Perfect location - a short walk from the train station, old town, public transport. Helpful and friendly staff. Luggage storage. Breakfast easy to add and good value.

The staff was super friendly and very helpful. They even allowed us a spontaneous late check out. The room was basic but clean and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved the location and helpful staff. Their recommendations for food locations were awesome - thanks. The staff were very fluent in English and were very accommodating when explaining the system of the hotel keys staying at the property. It was close to many food outlets and the main town centre is very walkable.

We needed to open the window at night and it was very loud with people partying nearby - through to 4am. There is also a concert hall across the road so it can be busy when an event is taking place. We also booked a double bed, but it was two singles.
