A beautiful hotel with a lovely interior design. Perfectly located. Stanislas parking is just around the corner. The Stanislas square and main streets are basically on your doorstep. Our standard bedroom, though small, was in line with the lovely overall hotel styling. The bathroom indeed had a bath with everything clean and pristine. Breakfast, again in a lovely conservatory style space overlooking the garden, was great. However, it has a bit of a bias towards the sweet side, with plenty of delicious pies and cake. For those looking for a more savory selection maybe not the best choice. The breakfast buffet area is relatively small, so not much room for all options and suddenly items may be gone. Staff will replenish as fast as they can though, so a bit of patience is helpful if you want something specific. We used the hotel as a stop-over, but if we ever visit Nancy again for a longer stay, this will be our first choice.

Lovely old building in a great location right next to the cathedral and easy walking distance to the main square and city attractions. My room was quiet and spacious with a clean modern bathroom and it overlooked a central courtyard garden. It was very helpful that the hotel sent walking directions from the train station to the hotel.

The hotel was let down by a few small matters of housekeeping. The valance on the bed didn't fit the bed and it draped all over the floor and looked very messy, the old wooden floor was a bit dirty and the cleaning staff broke the handle off one of the coffee cups but still left it in the room to be used.

Hôtel was in a good location, not far from stanislav square so it was easy to explore Nancy. We didn’t use spa facilities so can’t comment on that but bathroom was nice and room was clean and well appointed. There was some work going on but we didn’t hear any noise and the general areas of the hotel as well as room were nicely decorated.

We found out a few days before our stay that we would not be able to have breakfast in the breakfast room (the outdoor terrace was one of the reasons we picked the hotel) so would have to collect it and eat it in our room. Despite the breakfast selection being very good carrying it up to our room meant it was cold by the time we ate it and there was limited space for us to eat it in the room. It also meant you couldn’t easily get a top up of hot drinks etc. It would have been nice for there to have been some compensation for the inconvenience but hopefully this will not be an issue once works are completed

The hotel's theme was excellent and the small and large details that emphasized that it was a literary hotel based on author Stendhal were well chosen. The breakfast was lovely and well worth the cost. All of the staff were quite helpful and cheerful with the exception of Ms Gloomy on Saturday evening who was more interested in her laptop than in the clients.

The bathroom was quite small and the door to the shower did not open very wide. Since I have a walking disability, the narrow door made it difficult to get in and out. Additionally, there was no no-slip mat in the shower, nor were there any grab bars. It made for tense showering.

Everything was perfect. Fabulous interior design and decoration to begin with, great attention to detail. The warm colors, the quiet and the reference to literature immediately makes you feel calm and cozy, it exceeded my expectations due to the adjective „Littéraire“. The location is unbeatable - Place Stanislas is just a few minutes away - and at the same time my room was so incredibly quiet, my bed so comfy. I woke up well rested and went down in the lobby to find a delicious breakfast. Must be booked extra but totally worth it. All of the staff were so kind and professional. I stayed only one night, but it made me feel energized as if I had had a one week vacation. I could go on and on, my bottom line plain and simple: this hotel is a 10/10, no matter how long of a stay you're planning in Nancy I highly recommend it. Amazing value for money!

What a lovely welcoming hotel. Our room was characterful and was comfortable and the bathroom was great. Nice selection of tea and coffee in the room and we got a welcoming traditional biscuit on arrival which was a nice touch. The hotel is so close to the glorious main square. We really enjoyed exploring Nancy with its regal buildings and Art Nouveau heritage. Loved our stay

The breakfast room was being renovated when we stayed so we ate our delicious breakfast in our room - I'm sure the breakfast room will be lovely once it re-opens

The location is superb being so close to Place Stanislas and Nancy's old town. Parking Stanislas is super convenient at 2 minutes' walk away. The design and decoration of the hotel is very attractive and the literary theme adds interest. Our room was small but comfortable and relaxing. The bathroom was excellent. The breakfast selection was very good.

The breakfast room is small, cramped and hot in the sun. Its layout is poor, making it difficult for guests to move easily around the buffet so it becomes quite crowded.

We enjoyed our stay at Hôtel Littéraire Stendhal et Spa. The location is great for exploring Nancy, and the rooms are a good size, comfortable, and nicely kept. Breakfast was excellent, with the added surprise of non-dairy croissants and other non-dairy options prepared specially for my wife—much appreciated. The hotel also offers bike parking, which was very convenient for us. Overall, a pleasant stay in a convenient and welcoming hotel. Tip - Dinner at nearby Le Mont Liban is outstanding.

Great breakfast, with lots of variety for every taste. The location for us was fantastic. Just across the street from the parking garage, short walks to downtown and the main square. Nancy was quite a surprise for us wih lots to do and easy to reach key spots from our hotel. Oh yes the bathroom...Great!!!

Everything was great save for an amateur musician who practiced every day on his guitar, breaking the afternoon calm. Unfortunately he/she needs a LOT more practice.

The hotel is located in the centre of Nancy, next door to the cathedral. The room was very comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay and would come there again. The property was value for money, with some luxury.

We cannot think of anything that disappointed us. We had a very enjoyable stay and the night we spent there was a great start to our holiday.
