The hostel is in a great location, Montmartre is a very stylish and cool part of the city, and you'll find a supermarket, cafes, bars and restaurants all in the doorstep of this place! The rooms are clean enough, not sure if they get cleaned when the rooms are full. Stayed in a female sharing dorm with 2 others. Bed is fine but nothing special.

I didn't realise the rooms don't have lockers, but honestly I got lucky with my room mates and everyone was very chill with leaving electronics or valuables out and in plane view, no one touched anything! Bathroom is tiny. Something i was expecting but not this small. I don't know if hostels charge for towels, but I brought one with me.

We found this place by accident a couple of years ago when we were in need of last minute accommodations.We have been back several times since then. It has become our go-to for these reasons: (1) Location - The hotel is in a neighborhood that doesn't feel 'touristy.' It is tucked away just off the beautiful tree-lined street. There's a fantastic cafe right in front of the main door. and plenty of excellent restaurants just down the hill. This area is quiet at night. (2) Transportation - It's just a short walk to the Lamarck stop on the #12 metro line. Just up the hill from Abbesses. The #80 bus stops at the front door. Plenty of transportation options to get you to the museums and sights of Paris. (3) Staff - We have seen many of the same faces over the past few years. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. The rooms and common areas are very clean. (4) Breakfast - We don't always take advantage of this option, but sometimes it's nice to start the morning with a coffee and croissant in the breakfast room. They also offer cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice and a variety of teas. (5) Budget friendly - This is primarily a hostel, so there are plenty of budget friendly options for solo travelers. We opt to book one of the private rooms with a private bath. The furnishings are minimal, the beds are comfy and the bathroom shower has both handheld and overhead sprayers. The rooms have hard surface floors (which feel so much cleaner than carpet). We tend to travel light, and we appreciate having a clean and comfortable space to relax.

There aren't many negatives with this place. If you're not ok with climbing stairs, then be aware there's no elevator. This can be difficult if you're traveling with large bags. Our room was on the top (4th) floor. A few more towel hooks in the bathroom would be appreciated by travelers.

The room for three people was spacious and nicely decorated. The window opened wide, so plenty of breeze during the heatwave. The en-suite shower & toilet was clean and modern. The location was amazing - short walk to number 80 bus stop, which took us to the centre of Paris. 10-15 minute walk up to Sacré Coeur. The breakfast was fine - cereal, croissant, roll, butter, jam plus unlimited tea/coffee. The communal kitchen facilities in the breakfast area has a two ring hot plate and a microwave - we heated up a curry. The communal fridge is adequate for storing your own cheese/ham/salad/snacks. The café/brasserie just next door was very reasonable with friendly staff.

Nothing - it was great

Location is great. Montmartre is a beautiful, comfortable neighborhood with clean streets (relative to more urban parts of Paris). Right next to the beautiful Sacré-Cœur, but not in the busy part. Also literally right across from the Square Caulaincourt bus stop, as well as two incredible bakeries- Boris Boulangerie and Maison Lardeux. Room is small as expected, but surprisingly I had a shower- only the toilet is shared. Towels and a safe are also included- the private hostel room with shared WC is just like all the other hotel rooms. Relatively inexpensive given the location and semi-private hostel situation. Also- you're able to check in early if your room is ready, and store your luggage after checkout. Great for me as I arrived early in the morning and left late at night!

Free breakfast is cereal, croissant, loaf of bread, fettunta. Would have liked fruit or yogurt or something, maybe the option to opt out for cheaper. But you are in Paris so maybe you want to go out for breakfast. Not a big problem.

Location is great proximity to bus and metro. The room was ok. It was 3 single beds only which was good. Common washroom on ground floor is good and clean with handwash and paper napkins/hand dryer.

Not enough space to keep stuff. My bed was very close to the washroom. Washroom available in the room but its very small, no handwash/soap provided either. Its very loud at night as there is a restaurant nearby which is open till late and people are very loud there. Issue with ventilation, even if you keep window open there is another big building opposite so no air. Beds are only ok.

The free breakfast included orange juice, coffee, roll with butter and jam, croissant and cereal. The window opened, allowing some cooler air into the room. It was good being in a 3-bed dorm with a bathroom/shower, and another bathroom in the hallway. The location is very convenient for metro, laundry and of course Basilica Sacre Coeur. Its price is a great value for Paris. I had no problem coming back to the hostel when I was tired or had to use the bathroom. Paris can be very tiring, this place helps you to rest but without paying a lot.

I don't think it was the property's fault but it looked like my roommate kept stealing the soap away from the bathroom and putting it I don't know where. Very puzzling. I was given a room in the very bottom so I had a long way down to my room, just a minor point, but for the price not so bad.

The location was absolutely magnificent, in a local Montmartre neighborhood away from tourist craziness and yet close enough to everything. There were a couple of brasseries and cafes a stone's throw away that were absolute perfections, specifically Chez Ginette and Cafe Mignon. The building was cute and well kept and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Make sure to bring earplugs, as this is an old building with thinner walls, and people coming and going until around midnight. But it wasn't too bad and everyone was respectful. The breakfast was a croissant and small baguette with orange juice and coffee and an option for some cereals. It was adequate but no options for protein.

we felt very safe in the neighbourhood and had a lovely stay! the staff is helpful and you can always ask them for help if needed (for example, one day my mom had terrible back pains, and the receptionist gave her some pain relief tablets). the breakfast is alright, more than enough for the start of the day - it’s similar to an Italian breakfast. otherwise, if you’re following Google Maps from Guy Môquet station, you have to climb a lot of stairs to reach the hostel, but bear in mind that this is only a single option that the app offers - it’s also possible and just as easy to reach the location without being out of breath. :-).

some of the guests are really loud and disrespectful in the dead of night, and since the walls are thin, you can hear them yelling around.

I liked the cleanliness of the entire facility, and staff cleaned out the trash every day. The faculty was nice and friendly. The beds were pretty comfy and the temperature inside was nice. The showers were hot which was necessary because it was cold outside during my stay. The neighborhood though was my favorite! Beautiful and surrounding so many quaint shops and restaurants, only a 13 minute walk from Sacre-Coeur, and very short walks to public transportation.

The breakfast could be a lot better, it was basically just bread, cereals, and hot beverages. I got up early one day to enjoy the free breakfast but it was the food that you could find there all day (although free croissants all day are great). The shower in my room had a clogged pipe problem so I found myself using other bathrooms in the facility. This is minor but all the doors definitely need oiling, they creaked a lot which was not great when sharing the room with strangers.

This hostel was such a gem of a find! The location was absolutely gorgeous and felt really safe and secure especially for two young women travelling alone! The room was perfect for what we needed and the communal spaces were so handy especially when we wanted a ready meal one night before going out.

The room was a little unclean- on first glance fine but the closer we looked we found sticky tabs and hooks on the wall from where a decorations had clearly been. There was also some black mold in one corner of the room. But overall everything was great and I am just being nit picky- nothing of genuine concern.
