Great view and people watching. Excellent wall paper. Sublime audio of singing and music and opera coming from the music school across the road, felt like a movie. Yeah maybe the room was slightly shabby and the hallways sometimes dark but what’s wrong with that? Adds character and a story. Speaking of character the manager was super chill and always happy to see us. We came home really late one and the door was locked so we shamefully had to ring the bell and wake him from his slumber. We worried he would be annoyed or maybe disappointed with us but he almost instantly opened the door with a big smile on his face!

There was a spider and her babies on the balcony but that’s just nature, no one’s fault.

The location is quite central, walking distance of a metro station which will connect you with basically anywhere in Paris so very well situated. Restaurants and utilities shops in the area were good too. Staff were friendly and helpful.

There are a lot of stairs, my room was on the fifth floor, and the staircase is a spiral, so carrying a 20kg bag up there was somewhat perilous and definitely a bit tiring but once it's done it's done. Also amenities such as the toilet and bathroom were shared and on different floors from each other. Nevertheless, for the price I paid for the accommodation I was willing to accept these things.

A no frills budget hotel in a laid back part of the city. The shower was hot and the room was clean. Close to subway and train terminals. Really cool spiral staircase and wood banister. Courteous staff. Bonus: If you open your window in the evenings you can hear the musicians practicing a few buildings over.

The room was recently redecorated and looked very clean and tidy. Bed is comfortable. Good size room. Window can be opened and allow air in the room, and its also soundproof when closed. Staff allowed me to leave my bag for a couple of hours after checking out, which was very nice of them.

There's no lift (as most of the hotels in Paris), if this is a deal breaker for you, maybe think of somewhere else. There is only one socket in the room, which is not ideal. The drain in shower was blocked and it was annoying to take shower due to the amount of water. I paid via booking app in front of Receptionist, but he still made me pay to him, which made me double pay (called my bank and they confirmed both transactions were done, which means i double paid my reservation). Obviously this is not fair and I'm hoping that Booking.com will refund me. As a matter of advice, watch out to your payment.

It was clean, quiet and dark at night. We could leave our bikes and the luggage we didn't need in the little luggage room downstairs. The location is perfect for Gare Saint-Lazare and the price for this area unbeatable. Exactly what we needed.

The photo is misleading. The furniture and everything are very old. There is only a shower and a little sink in the room. The toilet is in the hallway. The hairdryer was not working. We were in the 5 th floor with a tiny spiral staircase and handrail only on one side, so not for everyone easy to get up there. You have to be fit. No breakfast available.

First and foremost this a very basic hotel. If you plan only to sleep at night its perfect. I had taken a common toilet room wherein there is toilet at each floor but the bathroom is only on the 2nd floor. Also the room is small really small and had a basin and was located on the 6th floor. No lift so prepare for some heavy lift.

At night there seems to be some guys playing music loud.

I got what I paid for. I had asked about the layout re bathrooms etc before I booked. For the price and location I think it's a totally fair deal.

The staircase does feel a little scary coming down from the sixth floor, as it is a long continuous spiral, but there is no need to descend quickly - a person can take breaks!

This hotel is so underrated. I loved the old school interior. I had a really amazing Street/ roof view on the 6th floor. Good value,I would return :-)))

Good stay, the hotel was quiet and in a good location for me The room has a shower and sink but no toilet which i found very strange but the communal toilet was fine

Very cute hotel, very near to Cadet subway station, and a lively neighbourhood

No elevator but it was very cheap so I can't say much about that.
