Easy to get to by taxi from Gare Du Nord. The driver said I could have easily walked it, but for 8 Euros I didn't care. Check in was quick and easy and when I saw the bar just through the foyer, I knew I had come to the right place. The staff were great - really friendly - I had a fun time with them practising my awful French. The room was great, with big opening windows, the bed was reeeaaally comfortable and by European hotel standards had a big bathroom with plenty of room in the shower for a big bloke like me. Within easy reach of the main road with shops (and a supermarket), and to be fair, it took me an hour and two cafe stops to walk to the River Seine - but it was worth it. You'll see a lot more of Paris if you walk!

Close to metro and bus stations. Bed sheets were nice and clean. Decent sized room for one person.

Old styled room, bathroom shower needs to be cleaned and it doesn’t have a full enclosed shower door so water get everywhere on the floor.

This is a classic Parisian small hotel, carefully decorated and with some lovely touches (e.g. Villeroy & Boch china service in the breakfast room). Breakfast served with proper small coffee pots to the table by lovely staff. The way things used to be 30-40 years ago. Good quality teas etc in the room. Very few hotels of this kind left so go while it is still there! Large well presented lounge/sitting area near reception and generous luggage storage. Room was very comfortable with good bedding and fully opening large windows to quiet street.

Continental breakfast with delicious Croissants, ham and cheese. There were ironing facilities for our creased clothes, but we did have to go down to the basement to use it. Large bed to stretch out.

Husband prefers English breakfast tea, closest was Black Tea option. Lift available but small to fit 2 people and the luggage, needed to make 2 trips. No air conditioning, so needed to open the windows for fresh air allowing noise in. Strange tiny shower screen, height of shower even for a short person was low. Ended up sitting in the bath and using shower handheld to avoid flooding the floor.

Extremely well-located in a hip area with plenty of great restaurants a stone's throw away. We requested a room on a high floor and we got exactly that - and the view was stunning. The room was a good size and the bathroom was very large with two sinks. About 10 mins walk from Gare du Nord made it extremely convenient. Bed was comfortable, had good fluffy pillows, and the room was clean.

The shower was just a tub with no curtain so it made it slightly unpleasant to shower, but it's likely just a holdover from a traditional old Parisian bathroom.

I liked that the hotel had nice heating system. Room was clean and neat, bed was comfy but pillows a bit too soft. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Easy to find food and its in a good peaceful neighbourhood which felt safe for me to walk around. As a solo female traveller, it felt safe to stay here.

The distance from the main station (Gare du Nord) is about 15min walking distance, actually its fine but not when your lugging your heavy luggage along. The rooms had all the bare necessities but the soundproofing was bad. I could hear everything the couple next door were saying and ...ahem doing. Which was not really what I wanted.

Very welcoming and cosy hotel, totally unperturbed by its competitors trendy and zen décors, it has unashamedly kept a very traditional décor. Had large double room at the back, very quiet. Did not have breakfast. In wonderful location, street has a staircase as you're at the base of what will become Montmartre. Hotel is just across from a typical Parisian park, Square Montholon. You are near enough to Gare du Nord, yet in a genuine 'quartier'. I had a great chat with Jasmina at reception who was most friendly accommodating.

Small, but nice and cozy room. Very clean, and everything I needed was there. The breakfast was very good as well: nothing fancy, but everything I ate was very tasty and satisfying (I loved how the coffee was served in a French press!). Great location with lots of things within a 30-minute walking distance, and there’s a metro station nearby.

I couldn’t say I really didn’t like it, but the ladder on the street looked crazy (though it turned out to be totally doable, haha). It would’ve been harder if I’d had some heavy luggage with me, but there are other ways to go about it as well (which I hadn’t had a chance to try).

A great hotel and perfect for sightseeing in Paris. Close to the metro but also easy walking distance to many sites. Comfortable bedrooms, ensuite was good and very clean. Great storage and comfy beds. Lounge/bar was great too and felt old school, Parisian class. Breakfast had a reasonable selection and a bonus that it was included. All staff were lovely, friendly and helpful and we loved hearing a bit about the history of the hotel. Would not hesitate to go back here on future trips.

Good location (near Gare du Nord and metro station) - perfect for a weekend stay. Room was ready at the start of check-in time. Breakfast was OK but limited on vegan choices. Helpful that luggage can be left in the hotel on the last day.

Bring your earplugs as the walls are paper thin, you will hear your neighbour pulling the zip on the bag, not to mention snoring... And buy your water in the supermarket as the water from the tap in the room has a smell that is off putting.
