Very good quality hotel, in a convenient location. I liked the organisation of the room and the bathroom, which was modern, clean and had great options for storage of personal items, hooks etc. Breakfast buffet was also very good! Of course you can get on the go boulangerie breakfasts or a seated breakfast for a bit less, but I thought it was of good value. I also appreciated the free coffee in the nice lobby area.

The room was a bit noisy because of the windows overlooking the street. However the street went quiet reasonably early (not throughout the night luckily) so it was bearable.

Staff is outstanding. Friendly, helpful and so kind.

The rooms are small, typical for Paris. I'm used to it but travelers coming to Europe for the first time may be shocked.

Small and well-kept boutique hotel in a central location in the 9th arrondissement with many nice restaurants and bars and 2 metro stations (Cadet - line 7; Grands Boulevards - lines 8 and 9) within walking distance. Our room was very clean and had a great view of Sacre Coeur. Comfortable beds. Nice little breakfast (savoury and sweet). Very friendly staff.

Opera used to be one of our favorite districts while living in Paris, and it was one reason why we chose Maxim Opera. So many nice restaurants are within walking distance, and if you want to get around the city, the metro is not far. The room was small, but we are used to that. Hence, we know how to make it work for us. The location is more important anyway, as you will spend most of your time outside - exploring this beautiful city. The bed, and most importantly for me - the pillows (I am very picky here) - were very comfortable. I would also like to say that the staff was very, very friendly and helpful. Maxim Opera will be at the top of our list for the next trip to Paris

It's a nice clean hotel in a very good location if you wish to visit the main tourist attractions in the centre. There are many nice bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood while the noise from the street is nevertheless insignificant.

The lobby and the dining area were a little worn and could use a fresh paint on the walls. I'm not sure but a as a non-smoker I kind of sensed the smell of cigarettes in the lobby (although smoking was not allowed). Maybe it was just me or maybe the conscierge was a smoker.

Great location - no shortage of lovely bars and restaurants nearby. Close to shops and Metro station. The whole area had a lovely vibe and was not touristy, but conveniently located. The room was really comfortable and it had one of the best showers I've come across! The staff could not have been more helpful.

A minor point, but would have liked the space for hanging clothes to be a bit taller.

Tiny room, typical for Paris, but beautifully appointed and comfortable. Fabulous shower! Very comfy bed and pillows And the staff were awesome, as was the location. I love being tucked away in a real neighborhood surrounded by boulangeries and cafes

Would have loved to have a balcony and a bigger room, but other than that, it was perfection

The hotel is located at quite a strategic area. We could walk to most of the places we needed to go. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. We had an enjoyable stay overall.

Room was still a little small for us as we had quite a lot of luggage but we do understand that the room was probably average by Paris standards.

Perfect location for site seeing and opera - you can walk basically all the main attractions. Metro stop also just over the corner. Many nice restaurants and bars close by. Just 2 blocks away there was small market street with shops and bars. Room was well designed and comfortable. Nice breakfast.
