Nice sized clean room with full sized bath. Great location with Metro around the corner, store across the street, patisserie, bank, and pharmacy a short walk. Museums were not far away. The breakfast was adequate with scrambled eggs, sausages, cold meats and cheese, cereals, yogurt, croissants and breads. Coffee was great. Coffee and croissants were available in the PM. Hadger, who was at the front desk, was very personable and helpful with questions. She made our stay enjoyable. She arranged van transport to the train station.

The shower was in a bathtub which had high sides and would be difficult for those with lower extremity issues hard to get into. The half shower door leaked water on the floor. There is a step from main door to get to the small elevator and another to go down to front desk and dining area.

The hotels breakfast was very good. For those who might like to cut cost and purchase fresh food to be eaten in their hotel room, Hôtel Vaneau Saint Germain is located near a number of small markets and bakeries. If preparing your own food is out of the question, there are many good restaurants and bakeries to choose, within a 15 minute radius, and if you need to venture further, the subway is just 3 minutes away. Lastly, the staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. You will not make a mistake booking with Hôtel Vaneau Saint Germain.

There was considerable noise, mostly at night, from the main street at the corner and from the bar next to the hotel.

Perfectly located between two metro stations, allowing for easy access to all parts of the city, in a nice area with enough restaurants around, this hotel is clean and staff is friendly and helpful for a very friendly rate (for central Paris). Due to a technical issue the room I had booked wasn't available, they asked if I was okay with a smaller room and included free breakfast as a comp, which was a very good solution in my book and the smaller room was perfectly fine for me.

It was fine for me, but if you are not very mobile, be sure to request a room on one of the lower floors as the 5th and 6th floor are not available by elevator.

The hotel is a perfect location, near the Metro and in a very nice part of town. Lovely cafe's just outside. the rooms were very nice and had everything you needed to be comfortable. We were traveling as 3 persons and booked a triple on check-in triple was occupied so they gave us two rooms for 3 nights! It was very nice trade off. They stored our bags for one week as we traveled lite around England and Holland. Returned on the end and we were given the triple room, and it was just perfect. Desk staff was very friendly and totally accommodating! I will stay there again. Lite breakfast was nice however we hit the cafes as an alternative. Uber can pick up at Front door and Metro is 5 min. walk. Bryan Williams USA

Well, sounds of city traffic at night are a price to pay for central location. During our stay a lot of renovation work on new water system pipes was executed, so the street was an excavation site...but it must be done sometime...all in all, a very nice stay

Great location to metro and you can walk directly down the street to Museum D’Orsay in 15mins. I loved the window to the street so I could people watch and the bistro downstairs was brilliant. Supermarkets, coffee and pastries all around.

Only down side was no fridge in the room. It didn’t bother me but it was quite loud with comings and goings.

Hotel is at the great location, with friendly staff and reasonable breakfast offers. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. I have been coming to this hotel for almost 2 decades and it never disappoints me.

The bathtub could use a plastic mat since it is very slippery and hence represents a health hazard. The walls could use new wall paper and the furniture, especially the closets, are somewhat shabby, so some update would be nice.

Great location. They offered free coffee and tea in the room as well as free “coffee and pastry” happy hour. To us it’s not a matter of just saving money, but it’s also for the convenience of having coffee first thing in the morning and in the afternoon when we need an energy boost for evening festivities.

No drawers or enough hangers, but I guess that is just Europe in general

We spent four nights at Hotel Vaneau Saint Gemain and found our room to be sparkling clean, comfortable and roomy. The front desk staff were very friendly, welcoming and accomodating. There was a minor problem due to a technical issue that could happen anywhere and it was resolved competently, professionally and to our great satisfaction. This indicates their commitment to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable. We couldn't have chosen a better location for our visit in Paris. Easy access to major attractions by Metro just down the street or by foot for those who enjoy walking. A variety of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets are very nearby, all of which made our stay at Vaneau smooth and easy. We strongly recommend this hotel and would definitely return to stay in a future visit to beautiful Paris.

Nothing. We would have loved to stay longer than 4 days.

The location is outstanding. There aren’t any tourist sights nearby, but that adds to the charm. There is a lovely cafe next door, a market for groceries a few hundred feet away, and the Vaneau Metro was so convenient. Our rooms were nice, especially our triple. It was so spacious for my husband, myself, and our 15 year old daughter. The small fridge was a nice amenity! We also had a double room right down the hall for 2 other people in our group. It was a little small, but had everything we needed. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

We stayed 4 nights and the aircon wasn’t working the first 3. Our window opened and the breeze was nice, but because of the great, active location is was very loud most of the night. However, we did receive a generous discount for those nights with no AC. Also, the elevator only goes to the 4th floor so ask for a lower room if you have mobility issues and cannot handle the stairs (we were on 6).
