This is very much a roadside-style hotel that does exactly what it says on the tin. No frills, but perfectly comfortable. Easy access from the main road with plenty of parking, and a couple of food options just a stone’s throw from the front door. There’s an HGV fuel station directly behind the hotel and a standard petrol station only a couple of minutes away. The rooms were clean and had everything you need. As mentioned, no frills, but for the price you really can’t argue. The hotel is dog-friendly, charging only a small €6 fee per dog, which is excellent. They also provided us with a cot for our toddler in addition to the triple room for myself and my wife, which was very convenient. All in all, a straightforward, good-value stay – ideal for a stopover.

Easy to find. A manned reception even though we arrived early. Receptionist was very helpful and spoke some English. Clean and in good condition with a decent sized room which is a necessity when you travel with dogs. Fairly decent breakfast for the money. Suitable areas nearby for walking the dogs . Brilliant restaurant just opposite. TV had a couple of BBC channels in English. Asked for a ground floor room because we have two large dogs and they provided one.

No facility in the room to make a hot drink, It is all very well to have automatic dispensers in reception but they are not always convenient and they had nothing that met my requirements. When you arrive hot and tired you want a nice cup of tea, not a shot of espresso. Although I said the breakfast was decent, that did not extend to the cheese offered. As it is in an area famous for its cheese I expected a choice of some good stuff but they only offered some rubbery tasteless lump that was very disappointing. Ground floor rooms don't have a security catch enabling you to leave them open to get some air in. If it was a turn and tilt, I could find any evidence of how it worked.

Decent sized rooms and bathroom. ventilation system in the room does seem to work when the weather is hot so the rooms don't get stuffy. Friendly helpful staff and good breakfast. Nice location for walking our dogs. Manned 24 hours.

No security on the ground floor windows if you want to keep them open at night . Too easy for someone to lean in and grab something off the desk. No kettle in the room and no pay coffee machine in the foyer if you want a hot drink.

ACE hotels seem quite consistent in being clean and comfy and a little less cramped than B+B or Ibis Budget in my experience. The one in RIOM is conveniently located near a restaurant (Zinc) in the same complex but book ahead as the restaurant is always busy due to six budget hotels around it. Hotel location is quiet (no road noise) with some greenery space around it.

The young lady on reception was extremely polite and helpful with advice about our visit to Riom centre. The weather was hot but the room conditioning was cool. The location was excellent for our planned early getaway.

Ace hotels are generally of a good standard and good value for money - although we noticed this year the price has crept up quite a bit. We have stayed at this hotel several times before en route to/from Spain, so we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. Clean room, comfy bed, secure parking - perfect for an overnight stop. There is also a good choice of places to eat around this hotel, including an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet next door which is excellent value for money.

We have stayed in this hotel before. Good location, away from main roads, but close enough to visit Riom. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.

Clean, comfortable, and perfect stop to stay overnight with our cat. The staff were helpful and friendly. We have stayed in Ace hotels on previous occasions and would do so again.

Clean n comfortable. Good value for a budget hotel. We use Ace a lot when travelling through France 🇫🇷
