The Logis Royal St Mart is a lovely grand old hotel run by generations of the same family and carries this ‘Je ne sais quoi’ charm. We were warmly greeted, and the lovely lady (grand daughter of the founder) kindly gave us extensive and informative tips about what to do in the area which we appreciated greatly. The bathroom was large and nicely renovated with both a shower and a bathtub; rooms were quiet. Breakfast on the graveled terrace was good with local produce. Parking felt very secure. The hotel is walking distance from thermal baths and a one star Michelin restaurant. We did not have dinner there, but i am sure it would have been lovely. A short drive from Clermont Ferrand and the Puy de Dôme, it is a practical location if you are a tourist with a car in the area. It has the capacity to welcome group (but i believe à bus would have to park elsewhere).

Everything. Spacious room, charming atmosphere, nice staff, comfortable beds, beautiful restaurant. We highly recommend this hotel if you like the charm of older hotels as we do. Will stay here again in the future.

We loved our stay. Other than one waiter in the restaurant that was so cold he came off rude (and messed up our order but we didn’t bother saying anything) our stay was perfect.

The hotel is charming & characterful. It felt welcoming & the food was exceptionally good. The staff were always on hand to help if we needed anything. It was more than just a hotel it was homely & relaxing.

The owners gave us a warm welcome & explained the history of the hotel. Lovely ambience & very attentive staff. Delicious dinner & ideal parking with our roof box outside in the hotel grounds.

We were visiting the volcanoes around Clermont Ferrand and this was the perfect base for a couple of nights. The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly at all times. Both the interior and the garden were well maintained and comfortable. Formal dining in the evening was delicious and beautifully served and presented. Breakfast was also a delicious and well presented affair. Our light double aspect room was spacious and comfortable and furnished beautifully. The separate bathroom was also excellent.

This was perfect for us. Clean and well kept. Just lovely.

it was not clearly marked on the roads it sits behind the casino and was tricky to navigate to.

Everything was great. What a lovely area of town. The hotel was beautiful. I especially liked the fact of the restaurant. It was excellent quality and very convenient!

Lovely historic hotel. Spotless, impeccably clean room. While the room was not large, the high ceilings made it seem more spacious. Lots of storage in the room and the bathroom. Welcoming and friendly staff. A nice breakfast with local cheeses, fresh fruit, excellent pastries. The house cat is very sweet and friendly.

The parking is free and easy, but if the restaurant is busy, it can be hard to find an available spot in the evening. Because it is an older hotel, you can hear the footsteps and doors in the neighboring rooms and floors.

I have stayed here many years ago and always wanted to return. It's a hotel on a grand scale in its own gardens, a rarity in a city. Its dining room is grand. Food good. I asked for a special item in my room. It was brought to me promptly and with graciousness. I would once again return to this hotel!

The restaurant and location was good.

No coffee in room. Had to pay for it! but most other hotels provide free.
