Breakfast devine - selections of home-grown fruits, homemade yoghurt, preserves and granola, local goats cheeses and breads, the best coffee I have ever had in France, delightful selection of teas. Host/ess unobtrusive yet attentive to all our needs. Location was a delightful surprise - an escape from tourism, and gave us a the recharge we needed. Had a quiet picnic dinner in the garden as the peace and quiet was best for us. Our room was large and incredibly comfortable, with carefully chosen artefacts and design. Bathroom couldn't have been better. We didn't get to use the pool but saw other guests having a great time.
One of our party had trouble walking up the front stairs as there was no banister, although he was permitted to use the lift which is normally reserved for luggage.

We stopped at Moulin du Pont en route to the Dordogne and, although our stay was short, it was thoroughly enjoyable. We arrived a little later than expected, but host, Alexandre, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, even helping us book a meal in the nearby town. The setting is beautiful, and the atmosphere calm and relaxing. Our room was very comfortable, breakfast was ample and tasty, and we really appreciated the peaceful location. It was also fascinating to see the old, now defunct mill that forms part of the property — a lovely historical touch. The swimming pool looked inviting, though we didn’t have time to enjoy it on this visit. We would not hesitate to return and hope to stay longer next time.

A real home from home. Owner very welcoming and helpful. Really nice touches with decoration and service. Breakfast all very fresh, mix of locally sourced and homemade. Great location on the river, alongside riverside walking / cycling paths.
Nothing controllable in that it was very hot while we were there - fans were provided (and not sure we would have survived without!) - and being on the riverside you had to be careful with opening windows in afternoon / evening due to the bugs. And lovely to be outside town, but it did limit access to restaurants within walkable distance.

Dear Alexandra, We wanted to express our deepest gratitude for the warm welcome and exceptional hospitality you offered to our group of ten during our recent stay at your guest house. Your ability to anticipate our needs and respond to them with such care and attention greatly contributed to making our experience unforgettable. Each uniquely themed room offered a breathtaking view of the river, adding a touch of magic to our mornings. Your extensive knowledge of history and French culture was very intersting to listen to. The breakfasts you prepared were not only delicious but improved with each passing day, reflecting your dedication to offering the best to your guests. Your constant smile and thoughtful responses brought a joyful light to each of our days. We are grateful for everything you have done for us and hope that this testimonial will illustrate to your future visitors the exceptional quality of the experience they can expect when staying with you. With all our gratitude, Abuhazera & Weissman & Artzy

We loved staying at the Le Moulin du Port. Alex, the host, made us feel very welcome and cooked a great breakfast each morning with fresh pastries each day. It was a central location for the chateaus that we visited and was in a beautiful location. We loved the historic status of the building which was so interesting and added to the charm of the place. The best part is the host, Alex, she is great. We would definitely stay here again when we are in this area!

The property and location are superb with a view of the Cher from our room. Chenonceau and Amboise are close by. What made our stay so enjoyable was the friendliness of the owners who were happy to chat in French/English and give advice on where to visit and eat. Alexandra provided a lovely breakfast each morning with lots of local produce...some from her own garden. We plan to stay again next year!!

Alexandra made us very welcome. The rooms were immaculate and beautifully decorated. The grounds were lovely and the kids loved the pool. We tried a few of Alexandra’s recommended restaurants and they did not disappoint. Breakfast was delicious and included home baking everyday.
No complaints!

Very nice swimming pool, which pleasantly cooled us down after the long drive and before visiting the castle. Charming landlady Alexandra supported us much and much - with dinner reservation to good place and with delicious sandwiches for breakfast on the next day, because we were leaving early.
