Staff were very welcoming and would go out of their way to help you with any issue you had. The breakfasts were always fresh and all food was very good quality. The restaurant on site was incredible. The food was top quality and could not be faulted.

If I had to pick something it would be that the bed was too firm for me and the lack of air conditioning or a fan made for a couple of warmer nights, however the rest of the hotel was brilliant and made up for the small inconveniences.

The cleanliness, the room and bathroom space and the overall ambience was fabulous. The staff were very helpful and were very proactive with my requests. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and this hotel in Thiviers was memorable in the all round excellent experience. The room was very tastefully furnished and the decor had kept some of the elegance of past design. An all round superb stay - I will be returning.

The hotel is in a perfect position in town. Just a short walk away from the very centre. The room was wonderfully spacious with a high ceiling and a large window overlooking the garden below. The bathroom, also nice and large, is beautifully decorated, with the most enormous retro sink. There are also many interesting and authentic pieces of furniture on the room. Our host, Halo, is the most wonderful personality. She is both warm and friendly as well as informative and caring of her guests. She was an absolute delight who made us feel very welcome. As a final note...her breakfasts are amazing. We travel a great deal and rarely find either a good cup of coffee or a memorable breakfast....this is Halo's 'piece de resistance'. Great stay!

We had no complaints with the hotel, other than the restaurant limited opening hours. Unfortunately we were not able to try it.

Hotel was comfortable, well appointed and staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. Meeting the owner was great and a nice touch. This is a great hotel for a nice stay in Thiviers.

Unfortunately, the restaurant attached (but separate business) was closed and is closed more than it is open. What with the weather cold and rainy, to eat at the restaurant there would have been excellent.

Excellent restaurant, the food was impeccable as was the service. This is a lovely hotel for a couple of nights to see the sights and had a great local market. The staff were really friendly and helped me with the little bit of French that I do have! I would definitely visit again.

The garden at the front is very pretty but there was only one table and chairs so it wasn't very welcoming to sit if you wanted to enjoy the sunshine. There is another seating area at the back of the hotel but looking out onto the car park didn't attract me to do that.

Had a super stay. Great location, a few minutes walk from the train station. Lovely refurbished property retaining traditional French features. Hosted by a lovely helpful couple, giving many tips on the area. Nice continental breakfast to set us up for the day. Stayed here whilst visiting family in the near by village Saint Jean De Cole... a must see village. So pretty.

Windows can either be open wide or closed, sadly no in-between to allow some air in. Everything else was spot on.

Great location within walking distance of the market square of Thiviers. The room was very comfortable and in our particular room the bathroom evoked the charm of early 1900's Art Nouveau France. Plenty of car parking space available in front of the hotel or in the private car park behind. The Wifi bandwidth was good and English TV available in our room.

The restaurant on the ground floor was a little style over substance for our taste but was not officially part of the hotel and run by a separate company and is by no means compulsory during a stay.

Warm welcome, lovely large room in a traditional property in a good, quiet location close to the centre of the town. Superb breakfast with local treats!

Although the ground floor restaurant is nothing to do with the hotel, we were unimpressed(to say the least).

Ambience and location of hotel and friendliness of staff. Also bike storage facilities were very useful.

Breakfast was bit disappointing We arrived to be told that the restaurant was closed. Bar and hotel shut up for the night at 8PM

This hotel is run by a very warm and accommodating couple who go out of there way to make you comfortable. The town is beautiful with a few nice food and drink options and a well connected station. We stayed in the family bedroom which accommodates 5 adults. We expected the beds to be crammed in somewhat but there was plenty of space between them all. We all had a great nights sleep. The bathroom seemed newly renovated.

We happened to stay during a July heatwave and wild fires and therefore it was very warm (above 40c) so the room could have been improved with air conditioning - however we were given 3 fans and lots of advice for keeping the room cool.
